Roster Next Year

To this point, since the coaches are almost certainly all getting let go, and like 80% of the team won't be back next year, I see very little reason to actually watch these games.

Feels like a massive waste of time.

Everything depends on the next HC, his staff and if he is bringing any kids with him.
At the very best, you might have 5 kids to build around. Schwartz, Djobet, Ugochukwu along with Able and Ahmed.
However, this could quickly become a complete rebuild.
Which probably needs to happen. Largely because most of these guys were recruited with the effort of trying to continue to play small ball.
The complete rebuild will allow the new coach to bring in players that will fit into what he sees as the future of the program.
Either way, I definitely expect 5 grad transfers to join the team. All other spots will be determined by who remains from the current roster along with who comes with the next HC.

It seems like most in this thread assume Able and Ahmed are part of the equation. They may not be. There are often decommits after a coaching change. And even though they already signed their NIL, I think they have the ability to back out due to L's sudden retirement.

What does the roster look like as of today for this season? I've lost count. Are we at 9 guys now?

Bigs
Ernest Udeh
Malik Reneau
Marcus Allen

Wings
Tomotej Malovec
Shelton Henderson

Guards
Tru Washington
Tre Donaldson
Dante Allen
Jordyn Kee

IMO

1) If Jai thinks Malovec can rebound and be a stretch 4, add another wing and ball handler.

2) If Malovec is purely a 3, add a stretch 4 and a ball handler.

Marcus Allen is more of a wing than a big. This roster badly needs a pure shooter and a backup big.

This. I'd think Udeh and Malik would be on the floor at the the same time. We'd need a servicible minutes eater, not a Huie type.
I think there will be certain situations where we will want to go a little smaller and space the floor out better, with only one of Udeh/Reneau in the lineup.

Ideally, the backup big is someone who can defend and rebound but also is a threat to hit some outside shots. A Sam type would be great.
