We presently stand at 75 scholarship players. This includes the 4 walkons who received scholarships during the last year (Crispian Atkins, Clay James, Marshall Few, James Murphy). This also includes the departures of De'Andre Wilder, Lawrence Cager, George Brown, Marquez Ezzard, Cade Weldon, Bar Milo, and Nigel Bethel.

The recent attrition puts us at our lowest roster total since 2014.

How much space we will have for the 2020 class, including EEs will depend on transfers and early departures for the NFL. At present, we have 16 players who are entering their fourth or fifth year. In addition, we have 18 players who will have completed their third year by the end of 2019 season. Some of these may be NFL bound (Dee Jay Dallas and Jeff Thomas)

See.. it's information like this. Wow, great stuff GC! Thanks for posting it.

75 kids is not enough, amd that includes walk ons. Thank goodness manny hit the portal at least/

With the 25 man limit being a tougher rule these days, it will take a couple seasons to get back to 85. Amd we cant really afford to lose tramsfers for a couple seasons.

Our issue is we are way too far below. 82+ is fine. We’re barely 70 recruited kids.
And these numbers tell the tale:

2010 Class: 34% (10 players)
2011 Class: 37% (7 players)
2012 Class: 41% (14 players)
2013 Class: 24% (5 players)
2014 Class: 28% (8 players)
2015 Class: 32% (8 players)
2016 Class: 38% (8 players)
2017 Class: 20% (5 players)
2018 Class: 24% (6 players)

That's the number of players that attrited out of the program within two years of signing a letter of commitment from each class. You can't keep losing a third of your players from each signing period and hope to stay at 85 players.

Or looking at it this way, here's how many players departed each year:

2011: 22
2012: 31
2013: 25
2014: 26
2015: 16
2016: 27
2017: 25
2018: 21
2019: 31

Only twice in the last nine seasons did we fail to attrit 25 or more players. You can't keep an 85 man roster with turnover this high.

And this is after awarding 4 WO's a ship. You should never be this low under the limit unless the ncaa hit you with sanctions.

We have only had 2 class of 2018 players leave(Ezzard and bethel). How did you get 6?

I have us at 77:

Looks like you have 1 less WR, 1 Less RB than you should. I'd assume its our FB you're forgetting at RB. At WR you're probably not counting Few?
