Roster Composition (Updated to 1/25/2020)

thats why i asked because i know its not that simple.

there's also the 25 limit per year thing
it's so complicated as to who counts to what class
NCAA is gonna receive some heat from schools over the 25/85 rule interpretation due to all the portal movement, etc. Imagine something will change in the next couple of years.

TE room is gonna be thin next year... Irvin will he gone and Brevin should go to the NFL if he has a good year

Updated to account for Williams and Patchan entering the portal:

RB LB depth are scary. We need to add a couple of each or move some from other positions.

Point is- there is enough talent to consistently beat the Dukes, VT, NC, LaTechs of the world. We should never win less than 9 games and should average no less than 10 wins per year. Coaches have to get their ***** together or be gone.

As poor as the offense was last season, we lost at least three games to kicking.

We're basically stuck around 75 scholarships each year.
Including the one remaining open slot for 2020 we have 78.
And that's counting Borregales, Hedley, James, Few, Parrott.
Attrition remains a glaring issue in 2020.

These kids should all still be here:

QB Williams
QB Weldon
RB Dallas
RB Lingard
FB George
WR Hightower
WR Thomas
WR Ezzard
TE Njoku
TE Polendey
DL Martin
DL Patchan
DL Garvin
DB Bandy
DB Smith
DB Bethel

Many of those guys were reaches or overrated like Weldon, Ezzard, Polendy, Martin, Smith, Bethel, and Njoku. We are changing schemes so George and Williams leaving makes sense. It's guys leaving early like Garvin, Dallas, Bandy, and Thomas plus guys that don't buy in like Lingard and Hightower that hurt the most. If we start the season at 77/78 over half the guys in your list would be pushed out anyway. I can assure you that's happened also. The number needs to be in the low 80's and not the mid 70s if we are going to compete playoff level.
