Love Perry and wanted him to start after the LSU loss!. No question. But....

I felt bad for Rosier watching the game on TV, ESPN kept showing him on the sidelines trying to get any facial or negative reaction. Trying to show the defeated man.

But Rosier was there calling in signals, encouraging his teammates. A big man understands that its time for someone else, more talented to play, someone he helped mentor.

I just felt bad for him (softie side of me)

A CANE for ever! I appreciate what he has done and the way he is conducting himself now!

Rosier is great to have as a backup. But, he's more useful to this team as a coach for Perry. Rosier's problem isn't his mind. He knows the offense. He just can't physically execute the offense. Perry can. Having Rosier on the sidelines talking to Perry about what he sees, and coaching him is invaluable right now.

He will always be a legend to me

Was he great? No

But he was good enough to beat VT with his legs in primetime and stomp ND, beat FSU as time expired and ripped their hearts out, and get us to the ACC championship game and 10 wins

Wasn't his fault he was the best QB available, he did his best and now it's time for Perry to take us to the next level

Rosier was always starting that LSU game, my hope was he would ball out and seize the job. If that didn't happen my hope was we would go with one of the youngsters. I was surprised he only got 2 drives vs FIU after his performance against Toledo but Perry did what he needed to do to take the job.

Rosier knows Perry is better. I actually feel bad for Kelly Bryant. All he did was bring his team to the playoff and he was accurate. But Lawrence is much better. Sucks but that’s life

rosier will always have my respect. he wasnt expected to do anything here, but he beats FSU on the road for the first time in 7 years, beats ND and VT in dominant fashion (team wins), and got us to charlotte. thanks for last year, but he knows and we know perry is better.

He exceeded my expectations. As frustrating as the last two years have been he went 11-3 (Yes I’m including Arkansas State as a W) in his first full season starting. Ended the losing streak in a difficult environment and beat the crap out of two highly ranked teams.

Seems like a great kid. I have no personal animosity towards him. He just should never have been in that position (starting QB) to begin with.

That's just ESPN trying to add to their story. That's what they do with everything. He will definitely go down as one of the more criticized players of recent history but we should be thankful for what he did. If he didn't play last year, we would've had a true Freshman, or Evan Sheriffs.... Scary thought

Dude was starting qb for the Miami hurricanes. Think about all the ***** that got him. Don’t feel bad for the guy.

He knows that he wasn't getting it done on the field, but he can do a lot helping Perry. He helped Miami win a lot of games, but he also helped keep other teams in games as well, with the offense stalling like it did. People have been blaming the playcalling, and there is something to that, but I would guess we're seeing the same plays but with better decisions and more accurate throws now, and it shows. It's a different offense.

Other coaches with a pair have had no problems with starting a true Freshman. Had we done so, we would now have a well polished Sophomore QB. Williams could compete for the job next year and at worst, only have to sit 1 to 2 years instead of most likely losing him and Weldon after Spring next year. I don’t feel sorry for Rosier at all. He was doing exactly what he should be doing last night at any top P5 school period. We had some miraculous wins last year only because we never should have been in that position in the first place do to the play of Rosier. Pitt was the final straw for me. I respect him as a Cane and a backup QB but zero sorrow. He held us back for far too long.

I wanted Rosier off the field but the kid is a Cane and still played above his ceiling. He was a baseball player who broke the streak at doak. Respect
Perfectly said. I was always greatly respect Rosier and be very appreciative of all he gave to the program and did for us. He is a classy kid and I wish him all the best.

Couldn't have said it any better.

Cool post Bro, you should look for a program who had a coach "with a pair", we don't deserve you as a fan.
