Rosier

You could attach a 90-year old's legs to Kaaya and he would be faster; unfortunately, he's got cement blocks tied to both legs.

Anyway to attach his legs to Kaaya

That last play of the game...he was fast

If Kaaya does decide to leave, I would have cautious optimism that Rosier would win the job next year and the drop off wouldn't be very big at all. The guy has played enough where he wouldn't be deer in the headlights early in the season and then, once he gets into a rhythm, could be something special with his athleticism and ability to run. Maybe it's just me being an eternal optimist.

Come on really? He handed the ball off, then took a read around the corner when all of duke collapsed to the middle then took a knee. Calm down he hasn't been able to beat brad out under 4 (2 head coaches and 2 OC) what gives you the idea he is any better? If Brad leaves it will be a RS or a True freshman that will start.

i agree, I don't think he is as talented as BK but if he can manage the passing game and pick up a few first downs a game with his legs I don't see the dropoff being huge. I hope BK comes back but if not, I would honestly like to see Rosier be taking 1st string snaps to open spring practice and go from there.

This is a classic case of the backup QB being the most overrated player. Kaaya is average. Rosier is horrible.

How can you say Rosier is horrible?

I really dont get the hate for this kid.

I realize he only played one full game but in that game he was dropping dimes and making nice throws. And this was on the road at night against a decent Duke team. Sheeze, give the kid a chance. If anything he deserves it, he has suited up for a few years now and patiently waited his turn.

Allison will be our starter next year if Kaaya decides to take his average talent to the NFL...

Anybody know if he was intentionally tackled on that last play before we took a knee?

The TV angle looked like he should have had an easy score, but he ran into the locker and allowed the defender to tackle him.

I know ... random question, and it would have been a meaningless score. But it really looked like he should have scored. Maybe it's just lack of playing time, and he got caught up in the moment? Lol

Now that Kaaya is Miami's all time passing leader does this mean Dorsey, Morris, Kelly, Walsh, and Heisman Winner's Testaverde and Torretta were garbage..?

Rosier played well last season at Duke. Richt never seemed to think much of his game. At least in his interviews he never said much about Rosier that led me to believe Rosier had really made a positive impression on him. I wished Rosier had gotten more meaningful reps during the season just to see what our offense would look like with a QB who can run and in case Kaaya did leave. Obviously, a running QB, even one not as athletic as Rosier, gives defense more to prepare for.

Malik's numbers for the season last year overall were average, but I imagine it's different and more difficult to come in for mop up duty when the plays called are what we saw yesterday than when you've had a week to game plan and expect to play. In any case, his numbers at Duke were pretty good. Here are the numbers and the ACC Network's clip of his best plays. He throws a nice deep ball.

There is nothing to base this off of. Rosier has been the number 2 all year. Also you have Weldon and Perry coming in. If Kaaya leaves, it will be a dog fight for that starting spot.

If Kaaya returns are we going to have 6 scholarship QBs? (Kaaya, Rosier, Perry, Cade, Allison, Shirreffs). Is that normal?

Several things. From what I've seen in several of Rosier's appearances, Duke 2015 specifically, he's, if nothing else equal to Kaaya's limited abilities. I say that because Kaaya is not "exceptional" in any area. IMO Rosier has a quicker release, just as accurate, better velocity, makes reads faster. Nobody can argue the next two facts- adds athleticism and a greater variety of plays you could call with Rosier.

Look fellas Kaaya, the play calling and this slow pace tempo lacking, plain 4 door 1984 stationwagon with sideboard paneling offense, has not and won't be successful against the big dogs. I'm happy with the victories and OL improvement, this offense leaves you wondering what things could be like with better scheme, play calling and QB.
