No. The ball was thrown short, so rather than Cager catching it high near back of endzone, he came back to it and had to reach over the DB to catch.

I forget who threw Mallory the TD vs Savannah State, but basically the same thing happened.

I don’t know man I’m seeing a lot of double standard in this thread.
People want to bash the **** out of the guy and boo him fine, but don’t get a sandy ****** when he fires back.
I don’t see anyone ****ed at Dallas for telling people to basically STFU about Rosier.

So he gets to play like s*** and expects fans to still cheer him on! I think Malik should be made to show his green card before he's allowed to take another snap. Those awful plays could actually be illegal.

This should be a positive. If he went the other direction then we should panic. I like it. He needs to have the scapper attitude to make up for short comings. The team needs to improve across the board. I’m confident the Canes will answer like Canes.

Dallas is sticking up for his QB. That’s what you want from your RB.

But what you want from your QB is to admit his play was bad and take ownership of the boos. Then go out and prove them wrong (and you don’t prove them wrong vs Toledo)
 
He could be an all time fan favorite if his play matched just half of his attitude. I don't mind this at all, but put up or shut up.

You realize for Cager to high point that ball he'd have had to jump about 10 yards closer to Rosier than where the ball ended up, right? Had he really jumped up to "high point" the ball, his feet would have hit the defender in the head as they were intercepting it.

Yup, he didn't silence anyone. What he HAS done is put a huge *** target on his back. Beating Toledo this year means as much as it did last year. Nothing.

It's just too bad he sucks, kind of takes away from it. We'll see if he actually backs it up against real competition, highly unlikely
