You guys remember when our defense kept us in games when we won titles? The offense wasn’t always clicking. Now it helps to put up forty but with this defense it doesn’t matter if we put up sixty those last 2 games..

Look man I don’t want to always dawg Manny. But I am looking at his history and it tells me we got 99 problems that go beyond Rick’s offense.
I believe you are wrong. MHO is If the offense(Malik Rosier) gave the defense a fighting chance specially early on in the Clemson game the defense would have responded. I believe they were demoralized after our QB couldn’t do his job and as young kids they must have thought “this muthaf’er here” and realized they had no shot with him as QB.

Man what game were you watching because I was in the stadium? They gave up 3 straight TDs of Clemson’s first 3 possessions. I guess it is Rosiers fault too? Sure the offense sucked but the D was beyond atriocious..
I was watching the same game you were. If our great QB hits JT4 in stride when he broke through the secondary and tied the ball game, it would have had a very different outcome. Our defense kept us in ball games/within striking distance throughout the season(GT,FSU,UV even Pitt) and the one time that the offense (QB) needed to Show up. After such an underwhelming performance at Pitt he lets the world know he was not dialed in or not into the game. Then At the ACCCG he starts off his usual awful self. Football is a game of momentum/Emotion. I believe the team lost its faith in our great QB but they still kept fighting but the doubt had invaded their minds since they knew our great QB was our Achilles heel. Would you be confident with a QB that can’t hit wide open targets? I don’t think so

The QB sucked but I have never seen so many people defend the other side of the ball at the expense of the QB. Look at Wisky and Clemson’s drives they were long sustained drives. Making a fu^king play! Not saying have a turnover every drive but how about breaking up a pass on 3rd down?

Sorry man the defense sucked period! It was pathetic to watch. Again the O is terrible but when you have Herndon, Richards and Walton out I give the O somewhat of a pass. Not a total pass mind you. Who was hurt on the D? It was a total implosion on both sides of the ball.

What is the excuse next year? “Oh this is Perry’s first year. Oh wait we lost RJ and Kendrick so wait until next year baby!”

Rick made a mistake hiring Diaz in the first place and you will see.
I agree that defense needed to make some stops at whisky. But be realistic, if you’re offense/Qb doesn’t help you stay fresh by keeping you off the field what do you think will happen? Look at the wisky game for example. We are up 14-3 about to go to halftime and boom Our great QB throws a pick 6! It turned the whole ball game around. Doubt began festering even in our prized kicker. I’m just hoping that the Rosier era is over.

When the competition level rose, fsu, he completed under 50%.

Thanks for getting us to 10 wins but we need a qb that is far more efficient.

Yep. Imagine the VT game had if ANYONE else was the QB. We would have beat them by 40.

How was Diaz’s D in Texas with all those 4 and 5 stars when a BYU QB nobody ever heard of rolled up 600 yards of offense?

I think he maybe mowing lawns somewhere. I think he will have the same response of Wisky’s QB who couldn’t have a good game before The OB to save his life.

That is “It was easy out there”. That was his response what a confidence booster for the opposing DC to hear those words. Before The OB they wanted to run him out of Madison.

most people look good playing scrub teams which is when he looked good....soon as the competition level went up his play went down. Dude couldnt hit water if he fell out a boat

One thing I'll say is that it wasn't other teams making him look bad later in the season so much as him making himself look bad. I don't know if he was hurt, but it would fit with the way he played. It wasn't Pitt's superior D that got us in that game.

At his best he's still beatable by the other guys, but he has more ability than he showed after UNC.

He still was very streaky before UNC though. I can't remember all the games but know he was under 45% against FSU.

Imagine how it must feel to a guy like Brad Kaaya... the "prototypical qb" couldn't get close to winning the coastal with a talent edge around him. Malik Rosier can't throw to save his life still a better winner than him. But Kaaya would've beat Pitt guyszzzz

And in the last 3 games he wasn't streaky so much as just off the whole time. I kept waiting for him to find his groove against Pitt and it never happened. Clemson was clearly better, but not so much Wisconsin. Fine team that played very well, but had Rosier kept his head out of his *** we would have won that.

Again, I don't know if he was hurt or not, but he stopped having drives where he was on toward the end of the season.

Good points. Even if he was hurt, I still would rather have a non streaky guy as QB, though, haha.

Rosier is not beating LSU if he is the starting QB for next season, in my opinion. I don't think the team will experience the same success either if he is. Losing Brax, RJ, Norton, Major9, etc. is a big deal. They were his life line. Richt will have no choice but to let the future (Kosi or Weldon) be the future.

I think Richt's big mistake was redshirting Weldon. I fully understand shirting Perry, but he could have given Weldon a chance to compete for backup to Sherriffs. There is no way that he would have been worse than Sherriffs. Now I think he backs up Perry next year, then Williams takes his backup job following year. He might never take a meaningful snap. I would have liked to see him this past season, especially when Rosier was missing everything (and I believe he can run well, so maybe give him some option plays to spark the offense). He'd either suck (so no worse off than with Sherriffs) or he shines given the opportunity. Either way it's a no lose situation.
