Richt listened to you guys because last week it was Richt's fault that Rosier could not hit Wideopen WRs. Since the offense was so complex and stuff causing Rosier to completely miss open WRs.

I'm not trying to be funny here, but what the fck are you saying?

EDIT: Ah, I see. Nobody said rolling out would make Rosier more accurate, just that it would keep him from getting sacked so quickly. And it did.

So what's your point?

Mark Richt Nut Swingers, why did it take 12 game for him to do that.

Becuase he saw the results in practice. Against an aggressive front it was worth a shot.

Yup. This is my opinion as well.

We have the plays in the playbook - just not the QB.

We went 10-2 with Rosier at QB, and that's mostly due to how Richt reigned him in (as frustrating as that is to watch offensively).

Rosier is limited as a QB. He can not move the safeties with his eyes even when he has time to throw the ball. He has the bad habit of deciding where he's going with the ball before the snap of the ball and staring down his target. He is frequently inaccurate, and when he is on target he doesn't understand how to throw the ball with touch rather than gun it. Asking Rosier to roll out and make throws is asking too much, but I understand why Richt did it - our OL is suspect. We didn't throw any seam routes that I recall, and I believe that's because Richt does not trust Rosier to throw the ball over the middle of the field unless it's a deep pass.

Having said that, I would still argue that Rosier has played above his head most of the year and beyond most of our expectations. I'd also argue that where this game was lost was at the line of scrimmage.

Given our O-line struggles, rolling the pocket was a sound strategy against Clemson's pass rush. The problem is that, for the most part, Rosier either did a poor job of gathering himself and setting his feet before throwing the ball or he simply didn't have time to when we tried it. Rosier has had major accuracy issues when throwing on the run all year.

I am one of those who wanted to roll the pocket. The plays were there on the majority of the roll outs. But rosier just missed them or the ball was dropped. At this point, I don't know rather to blame play calling, or knock the players for not making plays. I haven't made it home yet to watch the game....but at the stadium, it just looked like sloppy playing by the team. But I'm holding out judgement until I watch it, just to be fair.

We over did it. Instead of strategy it looked scared. I liked the early play with a partial roll and then deep ball. That caught Clemson off guard and could have scored. But eventually it became obvious we were thinking too much and hitting them too seldom. When a challenged quarterback like Rosier rolls to one side he is mostly cutting off half the field on himself. Let's see, he's only got one option now and has to make a tight throw on the move. Lotsa luck.

He has a very limited feel for the game, on just about every roll-out play he simply didn't get rid of the ball on time and basically suffocated his WR's on the sideline as they ran out of room.

Question, why do some of the most idiotic comments come from posts of 200 or less and informed
comments start at 1000 and up?Buck Teeth or more commonly called No Teeth good example!

Man knows what he's talking about!

The rollouts looked bad. They were awkward, the OL had a tough time and worse of all, rosier’s mechanics were a mess - never once planted his feet

Rosier should have switched positions long ago. He is not a bonafide QB. When an offense has to be gimmicked up for the QBs inadequacies that QB shouldn't be the QB. He spent at least 4 years here, was a suck back up when playing and he is the guy Miami went with. SMH.

We were 10-0 with our weakest position of the field being the most important which is QB.

Game 11 was Pitt and Rosier struggled in the pocket & missed every wide open receiver on the field.

Game 12 week of practice, you implement roll outs to get Rosier clean lanes & away from the rush.

Result was the same as being in the pocket, he can't hit anyone that was open.
