Ronnie Hoggins Senior Highlights

IDK...5-7/155 without great speed or explosiveness. Has nice hands and ball skills in those clips, makes a lot of plays on bad/underthrown balls, but do we really want a tiny slow kid covering Rudolph/Lane etc?

Hosley for instance, was a bad miss, but he was 5-10/170 and an explosive, sub-4.5 athlete.

Nice try Al, but you blew your cover with "without great speed and explosiveness".

This kid would eventually lock kids like Rudolph and Lane down. Neither of those guys are speed guys or big physical players. Sure, he'd struggle with a Mike Evans/Kelvin Benjamin type receiver, but those guys are few and far between. The problem is Golden and NoD's passive, bend over and take it in the *** defense doesn't have a need for aggressive players with a nose for the ball.

Including this class, here's the last 3 recruiting classes in the Secondary:

2013
Artie Burns
Jamal Carter
Corn Elder

2014
Ryan Mayes
Kiy Hester (Transferred already)
Marques Gayot (moved to LB now)

2015
Jaquan Johnson
Michael Jackson

6 guys. If Burns and Elder play well next year, they could leave along with the Seniors: Howard, Bush, D. Ceawford and A. Crawford. That would leave Mayes and Jackson as the only corners on the roster next spring.

But no worries if you miss out on Carlton Davis, Tim Irvin, Devante Davis, M. Lewis, SBB, McFadden, Mcfadden, Cole, C. Brewton, Jamel Dean, and don't even bother to recruit Redwine, Fenton, Hoggins, or R. Causey.

I'm sure next years class is loaded and the staff will just stock up on them in the 2016 class.
