Romberg on Reed hire

Romberg is a Cane, always will love him; but man, I dunno know how much stock I put into his statements. He’s all over the place.
Taking ER20 completely out of this; w/ all the changes made to ON FIELD staffing, there’s no reason we shouldn’t win at least 9 regular season games. The schedule is favorable, once again.
Romberg for one, him being a cane, has great respect for Ed. So it’s no surprise his comments were very measured.

we need to hit on these transfers. King needs to stay healthy and play at a top of the conference level. And the oline has to grow up

should have won 9/10 this year.

I told my wife before the season that this year was different. She said “I don’t wanna hear in early November how you hate the Canes. I’m sick of the cycle.”

fair enough. I gave up on my Canes this year and told her **** it till Blake and all are gone.

but damnit..,ER20 got me back to my roots and feeling like Mikey Corleone....my wife ready to slit my throat!

LOL; even our spouses know how cyclical our love affair of The Canes have been. Lol.

True....but

Every game in a season is inter-connected...

The more you win the more momentum you can build…

And the more you lose the more the teams morale drops...

By the last three games of the season you could see the defense and the rest team had thrown in the towel for the season.
If ever there is a chance in-season to halt negative momentum and Turn things around, it’s facing a weaker opponent after a bye week. Teams on winning streaks hate bye weeks for a reason, as teams on losing streaks love them.

UM had 3 such opportunities, and came out in each one more unprepared and unmotivated than the last.

Manny went into the offseason with deficiencies in 3 areas... 1) Coaching staff- which he’s addressed 2) QB- which he’s addressed 3) His leadership- which hopefully he WILL address.

All of the hate he’s gotten here has been earned and well deserved. He’s given plenty of reason to be optimistic for next season, but he hasnt yet earned anybody’s confidence.
