I didn’t realize how well he did there. I remember Tollner and Luginbill. I looked it up and as a kid I remember Don Coryell with the Chargers but also didn’t know he started at SDSU and was dominant there. Like a 2 loss team per year for 10 years - at that school.

dude resigned from sdsu because he didnt want to be a hc anymore and was shopping himself as a DC. We literally can demote/fire one of Patke/Banda/Rumph and have him as a coach on staff.

Manny doesn’t appear to be the type to make the necessarily shrewd decisions a great coach would make. There are 3-5 coaches who shouldn’t be here.
 
If Jeff Tedford gets healthy and wants a return to football, I'd take him on the offensive staff in any capacity.

I don’t think they were forcing him to do anything. He was winning 9 or 10 games every year. He just went 10-3. If he was forced out he could get a HC gig immediately. He wanted to be a dc.

Dabo was was a good HS football player and played at Alabama. He won a ring there.

Manny is a fraud that never played sports in his life outside of the few practice snaps he took in peewee football. He don’t have a spec of athletic ability. Dude never played any sports. He’s a video game coach. Dabo, on the other hand, can actually relate to players because he played at a high Level.

He does good work at New Mexico, doing about as good as anyone can do at

Dude is a real coach, not sure if his defense would jive with Diaz's defense.

That's a good assessment. Long is known for running very complex defenses and I'm not sure how that would be a fit here. Having said that, I would bring him in as DC any day. Dude has forgotten more about coaching than all of Manny's idiot brigade combined ever knew.

True, but it took Dabo some years to become the HC He is today.
