Well, that's one fewer team I'll be paying attention to. Rocky Long brought smart physical resourceful football to San Diego State. In Las Vegas I always argued that program as the biggest underachiever in the country. It remained that way until Long understood the vast strides you could make in a conference like that simply by hitting people and playing legitimate defense. Heck, he even defeated Stanford a few years ago.

The big wigs in the athletic department weren't satisfied and asked Long to make staff changes. That's what led to this. Long wasn't actively seeking to leave. He wanted to stick around until the new on-campus stadium debuts in a few years. But he was properly insulted by the intrusions and refused to budge. Long understands the limited upside of San Diego State compared to where he has taken them, while the cupcake clowns decided that all we need is a Brady Hoke offense and now we'll be defeating everyone.

Disregard what a Brady Hoke approach will steadily do to the foundation

I know a leader when I see one, and Manny isn’t it. He’s one of those “Fake it till you make it types”. A guy that knows “juuuust” enough detail to “sound” like he knows what he’s doing.

I can spot a guy like that within 10 min of hearing him speak and that’s Manny, 100%. A guy that can talk his way into situations but gets exposed once he’s put in position to perform...so he will try to buy time to “learn on the job”.

Anyone that’s lived in major cities for a while has come across countless people like this. And I hate to say this on this board, and I don’t want to insult anyone, but he’s from Miami, and most of America knows Miami men especially are famous for this kind of bull**** artistry.

Too old. At 70 you begin to lose grey matter, you get incontinent, forget stuff, run the risk of a stroke if there is too much stress, etc.
