Roche #1 ranked defensive transfer

Not knowing our schedule, I could totally see him struggling out the gate. He would need to get acclimated to the higher level of competition. However, we are starting against Temple. He won’t need to adjust. I am assuming he abused his former OL in practices and scrimmages. Knowing the scheme and the returning OL tendencies will enable him to “cut his teeth” and get acclimated quickly. He could start off with multiple sacks in that game alone.
 
I just read and don’t post much so idk if I can be a mope yet but shiiiit all the transfer we brought in had talent. But they didn’t play up to expectations mostly. Roche has it for sure but if we keep coaching like pvssies these guys gonna play like pvssies and the results not gonna be as good as it can be. I’m sick of it. I want him to do good like all Canes players but I don’t mind being wrong about his talent and him not living up to the hype as long as for gods sake man we need to start coaching aggressive let these boys loose and live with the results. Idk about you but I can live with mistakes as long as we make it while trying to fvck somebodys **** up

Looking at some of the temple games from last year I saw some tight end sets that concerns me. If I was temple I would run at our “UNDERSIZED DEFENSIVE” ends to start and off set their ability to rush off the edge although their athletic I question if our “UNDERSIZED DEFENSIVE ENDS” in Roche and Harvey’s ability to set the edge or maintain their gap responsibilities. Roche and Harvey are only about 225-230lbs. I feel good about GR15 Blissett and Phillips being able to set the edge with their size strength and quickness.
