Well…I hope he has good relationships with all the JUCO’s and small college around the southeast. Because you want to win in that conference you gotta have some dudes and develop. So you need transfers and good ones. His name and rep isn’t going to just win games and get kids there. Interim guy there did a great job and Led then to one of their best seasons ever. Program is trending up…don’t drop the ball Rob.

his title was Director of Player Development. Who can he honestly say he "developed"?
I think its time to actually make an impact hire who can bring high energy to the field and push players to be better instead of literally looking like every little league coach ever with the "belly over belt" look lol.

After his comments about what the fans are allowed to say/not say… good.

Makes more sense why he thought that might be a good thing to say

He filled his role for a newer head coach. More of a support system, resource, cheerleader.

I think we are at a stage now where we need a person in that role who is more focused on skills development As the HC doesn't need quite as much infrastructure support on being a HC.

Still have his autographed homerun ball from Myrtle Beach when we went to a game on while on vacation. Caught it out in the LF stands.

Had to be 2005 because I caught it in my favorite All Star catchers mitt that ended up getting stolen a few weeks after that. Remember like it was yesterday.
Salty was so underrated and a super talented coach. My brother and I know him well.
