Rivals ranks King #3 among 2020 transfer QB's

That was my point. Costello never threw it more than 413 times in a season at Stanford and averaged slightly more yards per completion. Also, maybe he has 6-700 attempts in him, but he has had multiple injuries over the course of his career,

Tweak the player to the system or the system to the player?

throw it till your arm falls off and then throw it some more. in that system you take what the defense gives you and don't force things. Not sure about this last guy but Minshaw and Falk both made it to the NFL. Costello is looking to make it to the NFL.

For our system, I'd take King over either of those guys. They both have positives but neither has the upside of King in a blinding fast, no huddle.

Speaking of which, Wake Forrest ran more plays than anybody last year. Is Georgia joining the no huddle revolution? If not, Newman will flop terribly.

Costello will put up numbers in Leach's offense because every bum QB puts up big numbers throwing the ball 60 times a game. The real question is, does throwing for 350 yards matter if you're losing 65-35?

Georgia got todd monken from nfl who kinda has air raid background coaching in big 12, so yea they should be goin spread.

OK, that should work in Newman's favor.

The last transfer QB Mike Leach had was in New York for the Heisman Ceremony. They are projecting a bit much there, but I understand the rationale.

I think King is a better QB than Costello.

Georgia is trying to do the same thing we are. New offense. New, transfer QB. We'll see who has a better season. Good play caller and good QB can make everyone look better. Miami and Georgia have the same questions with their skill players. Again, we'll see who has better production by season's end.

Monken was the OC for that Oklahoma State team that in 2011 should have played for the BCS championship. Instead we got that Bama/LSU rematch which was one of the lowest rated championship games in the BCS/CFP era.

I don't understand all the hype for Newman at all. He played well at the beginning of the year... against super powers Elon, Rice and Utah State. After week 4 he completed 60% of his passes twice (against 4-8 NC State and 6-7 BC)
He wasn't exactly on a hot streak to close out the season either.
1-4 over his last 5 games
His completion percentage in those 5 games: 45.7, 42.9, 56.0, 46.2, and 44.4
He also threw for 6 TD with 6 ints and threw for LESS THAN 75 yards in 2 of those games

Where is the hype coming from?!
He’s going to uga so people automatically forget he was average to below average when Surrat was hurt.

I wouldn’t be surprise to see him lose the job to Daniels if he gets a waiver.

Jarren Williams had a higher pass efficency rating than Jaime Newman in 2020. Kirby continues to make poor QB decisions at Jawja.
