Rivals National Recruiting Mike Ferrell

Exactly. He's basing it on high school, not what these kids have done in practice this year. He doesn't have a clue how these guys have progressed. In HS, Martell was the guy. He was 5 stars and a kid everyone wanted. That's all he knows. I personally like Williams better than Perry coming out but they were similarly ranked so to each their own.
Basing his opinion on high school career yet Perry is the only qb on the roster to start a college game? Figures...

I know a UK fan who was beside himself for losing Jarren to us. JW would have made a huge impact on their season last year.

Look at this punk *** comments on Jarren. Does this idiot know the top flight schools that were after Jarren? Someone get this to Jarren, extra motivation.

Among those surprised by Monday’s news was Rivals’ national recruiting analyst, Mike Farrell.

“I am a bit surprised because I was never a huge Jarren Williams guy in our rankings meetings,” Farrell wrote. “I thought he was a bit inconsistent and I felt he had progressed well between his junior and senior year but was closer to his ceiling than [N’Kosi] Perry and [Tate] Martell.
I was always a big believer in Martell and I’m surprised he didn’t break through and win the job. Perry was a raw prospect I liked a bit more than Williams coming out.

“If you had asked me to guess the order Manny Diaz would come up with, it would have been Martell, Perry and Williams. There could be a revolving door at quarterback this season for Miami. But they obviously see a lot in Williams and are very confident in his abilities, so we’ll see how that opener goes and take it from there.”

When an all-star team had the choice between Trevor Lawrence or Jarren Williams, they chose Jarren Williams. Lawrence was already being touted as the next Peyton Manning at the time, but JW got the nod. That's all you need to know.

Ironically, Mike Farrell isn't in my top five recruiting analysts. He was inconsistent with his rankings and frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if Rivals replaced him in the near future.

He’s ALWAYS wrong. I mean, how can you be that bad at your job?

Farrell on Kyler Murray

"I felt he was too small after seeing him at Under Armour week, where he struggled with accuracy. He could run, there was no doubt about that, but he struggled against the best competition seeing downfield and I felt he would not translate to the NFL level. Shows how much I know."

QB is tough to evaluate.

Idiot post by a so called respectable sports writer. Now he knows more then the coach seeing these guys everyday in practice and scrimmages. A reporter suppose to report the news the way it is. If you didn't see every practice how in the he^L you will make a stupid comment against the coaches analysing things second by second? I've lost a little respect for Ferrel the Clown!!
