I have to admit, I'm always a little bit jealous during rivalry week.
Seeing as how Florida/FSU have each other, should Miami try and establish an annual rivalry week opponent to get some extra hype and attention for the last weekend of regular season college football?
I don't think anybody in the ACC is worthy of that title. Maybe VT? Pitt? An old Big East opponent?
But what about outside of the conference?
Lately, ND keeps coming to mind. I think it would be great for both of us if we had a built in rivalry at the end of the year every year. Would probably rank 3rd in the country behind OSU/Michigan and Bama/Auburn and in some years be the top rivalry game (this year it would be the 1st or 2nd most watched game).
Admittedly, with our current conundrum with ND, this probably isn't a good time for that consideration. But I can't really think of another good fit.
If we joined the B1G at some point, then I could see it being a Penn State type team.
Obviously it has to be a team that doesn't have a natural built in rival and it would have to feel somewhat natural, not just manufactured.
Who else could it be?
