I’m with you RVA, no clue who this dude was and if he died back in December that’s what, 4 months ago?

2pac got shot while in NYC going up the elevator at Quad.
Huh....??? i think i got this. Tupac got shot in Vegas after going to a fight, I think at MGM. Biggie was in a recording studio in NY at the time of the shooting.

Am i getting warmer or am i still clueless and aging?

@OriginalGatorHater please save me.

My bad I didn't get this notification for whatever reason. Luckily I just stumbled upon it when browsing the thread lol.

Pac got shot in NY, but was not killed. That is why Biggie released the song who shot ya taking credit for the shooting. lol.

Not really an insider but I think the stories go like this:

Please note I'm not looking anything up so I could be off on little details like albums recorded, etc.

- Roz and 2Pac were extremely close and Roz let him into to Quad before he had anything and let him record for free. Roz was known for being extremely helpful to young musicians and artists. And Quad definitely favored quality over making as much money as possible. As a result, they have a prolific resume.

- Yes, Tupac was shot at Quad. Early or mid 90s. Biggie was recording "Ready to Die". 2Pac was recording "Thug Life" album. They were there at exact same time. Story from NYC peeps (now that he is behind bars) is that James Rosemond paid for a hit on 2Pac. Yes, the same guy who put a hit on a G-Unit member.
