I think the NBA was trying to be careful with all the sexual allegation stuff and him having admitted to strangling her during *** after he got arrested in 2003. that would be my guess cause his play on the court definitely deserved the MVP

Tim Duncan was widely considered the best player in the league in those days , he could’ve easily won another couple. He was just very unselfish and didn’t care about that stuff. Even though he got his.

Kobe should’ve had at least 1-2 more. But mvps are overrated and kinda like the heisman.
