Retired NASCAR driver from the 2000s and 20-teens. Plane crash took him, his wife, and his two kids.

Met the man many times in Daytona, around the track and when we got to drive the trucks for Driver Introductions. Nice guy, gone too soon.

He and his family stayed in my Airbnb near Bristol a few years ago. Didn't talk to him out of respect for his privacy but have always heard he was a great guy and was always known locally as one that would go out before the race and sign autographs and interact with fans.

Such a sad tragedy with the whole family on board. Terrible.
