Absolutely amazing what bringing in a big time AD can do. And get this... what giving yourself a proper amount of time can do.

USC fires Lynn Swann ** not during the middle of the season ** which gives themselves the courtesy not to conduct the search at the most pivotal point in the calendar. Two months after firing Lynn Swann they come away with a huge get by poaching the Cincinnati AD.

This year he fires Clay Helton in September and gives himself the entire football season to scope out his first hire as AD and he comes away with one of the biggest hires since Nick Saban.

Meanwhile at Miami we're trying to do both, at the same time, and inside a month.
