Riley possibility to USC

So you want a coach that would run from the first real challenge he's had since he's been there? I don't think that would play into Mario's thinking at all but I find it funny what are fans would look past.
Dude - he would be coming to a more difficult situation - recruiting vs Bama, Clemson, UF, Georgia, etc.

C’mon, man.

Got ****, SC just big ****ed all of CFB. No leaks just all business and pulled a name nobody thought they even had on their radar

Grand slam hire by USC. Now OK and LSU still open

Flip side, Cristobal has to see the costal as a pretty easy path, back home, and in a great recruiting area. Make it happen Miami

I don't believe he'd duplicate his success recruiting against those guys but why would Lincoln Riley make him more likely to leave unless he was running from that challenge? Maybe you meant something else by "you know what that means"

talk on the board that they are putting an extension together for him. Been in process for a few weeks.

Mullens is working on an extension for Cristobal. It's been going on for a few weeks now. Mullens and Uncle Phil are both 110% aware of the deals that have been offered to Tucker and Franklin. They believe Cristobal is the coach that can bring Oregon its first Natty. They DO NOT want to enter this years coaching couresal at all. This is a terrible year to be looking for a new coach. Point is, if all goes well, Cristobal will be given an extension if both sides can come to an agreement.
Oklahoma will go after Josh Heupel or Lane Kiffin, they wouldn’t bring in someone like Mario, his brand of offense is the exact opposite of what they want.
Great. Oregon extends Mario. Lane to OU. We’re stuck with the worst HC in CFB history. Nightmare scenario.

USC is about to go on a run...

They have a really good QB room too, they’re just missing the right HC/OC combo, well they got it now.

The Pac-12 is on notice, Oregon had it’s fun while USC was swimming around in mediocrity for a few years, but that sh*t stops come next year, no way on Earth Oregon wins that garbage conference anymore with Riley at USC.

That’s BIG BIG props for SC, they literally just landed a top 5 coach & one of the best QB developers in the Nation.

I don’t want to hear about Miami and USC being similar jobs anymore. How about the fact that they kept this under WRAPS! We are such a **** show.
USC is a year ahead of Miami. They brought in a strong AD and he brought in his right hand man from Cinci. Bohn has everything underwraps and under control.

We have better USC insiders than we do Miami. Program is dead. Fight on!

Ppl kept asking who were SC’s targets: it was Fickell & Meyer, which prompted Meyer to come out w/ a statement. They kept in touch w/ Meyer’s ppl, monitoring, but it was clear he wasn’t coming. From what I understand, SC was not interested in an up & coming OC, DC or even a G5 coach. The only reason why Fickell was #1 was b/c of his ties to the AD, and like I told ppl, they wanted to see what Cincy did when they played Indiana & ND in back to back weeks.

Fickell nor his family have any interest in moving this far West, although I heard at one point it looked like it was a possibility. SC wanted a huge fish, and after the mantra of being notoriously cheap, $$ was no longer an issue.

I’ve said that SC & us are not the same. The OB disaster vs what USC did w/ the L.A Coliseum which was in the same boat is written proof we’re not the same. The fact a BOT member can tweet E before W is tangible proof we’re not the same. Despite how big SC’s BOT is, they only have a select few w/ voting & decision making; that shows we’re not the same. The fact that they can fire/urge to resign 3 AD’s who are LEGENDS as alums, shows they are not the same.

The only similarities between the two is both are private schools, and both have made some ?able hires, but even their ?able hires have had way better results over the last 15 yrs than we’ve had.
