What will he need to do in terms of win%, ACC titles, wins over FSU, playoff appearances etc for it to be a success? Will he need a national title?

Win over UNC, Va.Tech , FSU and eventually Clemson with an annual bowl win...

Would would he have to achieve in a timespan of 8-9 years? Somewhat arbitrary timespan but he's not a young guy and I'm not sure if he'd last any longer before retirement.

needs to bring home wins against FSU consistently and NCs/bowl wins. The rest is bull****.

I say one national title and a minimum win% of about .800, maybe slightly higher like .810. If he goes to 3 NC games and loses all of them maybe I'll accept that.

I won't. His knock is that he can't win the big one. we need him to win the big one and put that knock to rest

This x 10000. He's going to change the culture here. It's happening now. We will be relevant again. Getting to become a contender means he needs to win the big games, his biggest knock at Jawja. FSU is the only yearly game he has to win that's a "big opponent". You'll draw Clemson or ND and the OOC big game every few years, but for the most part, it's rape the coastal, beat FSU, play for ACC title. Totally doable.

Now that we have the budget and the staff and the facilities, there is no reason not to expect a NC in the next 3-4 years.

He'll need to be better against FSU than he was against UF.

19k posts of worthless talk.

I'm sorry I hurt your delicate feelings in the other thread, cumburger. You're now chasing me over to the recruiting board because you're so hurt. I hope you can heal, and put this devastating impact behind you so you don't clutter the board stalking me.

I could see him coaching another 15 years if he keeps rolling as a good coach. He seems to love where hes at and wouldnt be the first guy to coach past 70. And he is young, hes in his 50's

He needs a national title or at the very least set up the next coach for success. If Richt pulls a Butch in that aspect I'll be happy. Let's hope the coach after isn't the reincarnation of clappy coker.

If he can win games against teams were suppose to beat but have lost to. Im still upset we lost to F'n Cincy

I agree we should not lose to teams like Cinci and even Nebraska especially Duke, dear lord if we lose to Duke again any time soon.. The good thing is Richt has a very very good track record against inferior.
