If you're trying to make that happen, I suggest you invest in workout equipment or maybe a gym membership. Over the next 2 1/2 years you'll get an incredible body with all the energy you didn't waste making cases why "Richt needs to be axed a question."
Said it before: the win was getting UM to actually spend modern football money. Yay. Unless we lose out this season and fail historically the next, UM will live off patting itself on the back for taking the plunge. Yet again Miami finds a way to turn a win into a loss.
This isn't an apologetic for the man -- it's irrespective of him to some degree -- but I've got no energy to read every diatribe against Richt, his staff or the players, because it's evidence without a judge presiding over it. I'm sick, absolutely sick with what has transpired over the last 4 games. But I'm not making myself feel good by looking for an out with Richt, because it's not happening for awhile. I don't want him gone anyway. I don't think. Honestly I don't know what I want, other than wins. That's all I want. I think we're easy enough to please in that regard.
I know we have a duty to dissect his mistakes, question his methods, lament his decisions and collectively lose our mind. I get the group therapy aspect of that, even though I don't have the energy for it. Personally I'm toast. We've had 15 years straight of disappointing seasons. I was thinking about that today: From 2002 until at least 2016, Miami Hurricanes football has been a disappointment. And yeah I'm calling that L in Arizona a big fat disappointment, one that's spawned a perpetual cycle of disappointment that I call The Parade of Bad Feelings.
I think this is what I really wanted to say: I don't care if you want Richt fired. I don't care if you don't. I barely have the energy to care how I feel, because for 15 years caring deeply has resulted in a greater depth of bad feelings. Every year has been The Parade of Bad Feelings that ended with a Special Edition Bad Feeling -- or an attempt to say the sad convoy of floats will find another route the following year.
But for 15 years that hasn't happened. The Parade of Bad Feelings has used one route: our schedule. And Richt is not going to be removed from it any time soon.
