Richt won’t last as long as some think

Losing the 2019 Gaytas game is about as stone cold a lock as mathematically possible.

Richt will have no QB, no OL, the same absolute worst STs in football, and we will be flat an unprepared. Didnt even factor in Richts history of saying "No mas" to even terrible Gaytas teams.

So why not fire him now

Nail on the head. He only decided to continue coaching because we approached him and gave him the platform to call plays. His first two years he seemed energized but he looks defeated and miserable on the sidelines. I can see him giving it one more shot with Jarren at the helm next year but i think he'll step aside if things go sideways

Wish I saw this post b4 I posted. Lol. Spot on

It’s not emotional it’s reality. If the season keeps going this way the 2019 class is going to fall apart and losing to UF after that would be a death nail in the coffin that is recruiting. I’m not saying he gets booted the next day, but he won’t last his contract and I don’t think he would last the season (unless we were to win every game after Florida).
HE IS NOT MIAMI. He never was.

This right here.

If Thomas Brown is in fact calling the plays he has zero experience in doing so. I like Brown but as a RBs coach not as a play caller. Watching The Alligators innovation on offense really drives a stake through the heart of Canes fans I must say.

Rick is just depressing all around so he better get his act together. I agree he isn’t going anywhere anytime soon so the only hope is he becomes a figurehead.

I seriously doubt that will happen.

If Brown is calling plays and the running plays we see are indicators of his competency, then no thanks to him as OC...

He looked like a beaten man ready to hang it up last night. He’s not built for the level of toxicity he’s about to face. He’s used to hearing rumblings from rednecks with bangs. He’s not prepared for this.

I could see him working something out with UM and stepping down. He was ready to retire after UbaGA booted him. He probably should have.

He needs to pursue his next calling in life, which should be something less stressful that requires less time and thinking on the fly. He should get himself healthy and move on to the next phase of life.

Been saying this for 2 weeks. He’s going to pack it in.

For some yes. It’s a rinse repeat process. But honestly if Richt can’t sustain success here. Ima start questioning us as a program in modern day college football with the money/ resources the big dawgs generate. It always was but Is becoming more and more a biz. And to win big u need a big budget. It will be 20 years..that’s reaching unwanted territory

Couldn't possibly disagree more. Richt was NEVER the right guy for the job here. Some of us didn't like this hire from DAY 1.

General rule of thumb, you don't hire a guy who's been fired at another college program for a lack of performance. I said it on these boards back then and I continue to say it now.

dude was FIRED and looked burned out and they run and sign him like its a coup.
Our defensive coordinators claim to fame was being fired from UT.

im done. seriously.

We've all been frustrated with Manny at different times but there's no way you can have a problem with him right now. His dudes have been balling all year except for Friday when the whole team quit. Also, the striker position was a genius move. Defense is not the problem with this team. In fact, that's really the only bright spot.

As much as I hate saying this, I'd rather that we finish 6-6 or 7-5. If we somehow go 8-4/9-3 with a bowl win on top, they'll cite it as "progress" and won't make any changes. 6-6/7-5 ensures there would be some massive changes, and that an OC would be hired. The only way my mind would be changed is if we started Jarren and he began lighting it up. That's not happening though, nothing is gonna save this mediocre team this year.

We might not even make it to 6-6. If we don’t win next week, I think the odds of us becoming bowl eligible are slim. This season is a disaster and could collapse at any moment!!

So who would you have liked? A new hot name with nothing proven. With Either success or no success..all proven guys if they are good enough have both successes and failures. Unless your saban. At that time MR was the best fit for the program. And it’s only year 3. This is what amazes me about our fanbase. Some are acting like the 10 years b4 MR got here either wasn’t reality or wasn’t that big a deal. From the lack of facilities to the lack of success. From year to year their was no improvement in wins from 2003- till 2016 2017. That’s absolutely abysmal. No year to year improvement at all. Like bruh no program who wants excellence has that on their resume. Then you take over from the worse staff we had ever had as a program as most would agree with golden and co. So now u get a reapectable coach. Who has the D balling. Made due with 12 at QB to get to a bcs bowl in year two. 1st one since 2003. And in middle of the rebuild he has a stretch of losing which last year coincided with being hit with huge injuries. I get the frustration with losing in the moment. But ppl really wanna fire this guy after 2.5 years. The entitlement around here is crazy yooo lol. After next year if the direction ain’t in the positive then I’m with y’all. Either Perry or Williams have to take over and this oline needs to get right. We’ll see what happens

Straight up truth right here Franchise, I think he "works something out" as well, he just thought those Gawga fans were rough, he's fixing to get a real dose of rough. His wife won't even be able to go to the grocery store, and it will be her that makes the decision to bail, she won't be able to handle the 24-7 hounding coming her way. Now excuse me while I go check my bangs

Seriously you are just going along with the boys, but to say something to one of the most genuine, friendly, and caring person you will ever meet is mind boggling. Blast the crap out of Richt or other coaches, but do not stoop low enough to attack women.

phucking this

Don’t worry I Fixed it

i hope he works it out but that post makes a lot of sense, Richt said it in his introductory press conference, he was about to consider other options in life and his family was on board, I would not be shocked to see him step down if this isnt corrected
