Richt won’t last as long as some think

Man it’s tough.. hear me out!!
Would you guys rather lose every game with a guaranteed of a OC hiring this offseason?
Or
Win out with possibly play for the ACC?

We don’t need to be playing Clemson or anyone at that level the way this team is playing right now.

This season is over. We need to focus on not getting embarrassed by UF next Sept.

He looked like a beaten man ready to hang it up last night. He’s not built for the level of toxicity he’s about to face. He’s used to hearing rumblings from rednecks with bangs. He’s not prepared for this.

I could see him working something out with UM and stepping down. He was ready to retire after UbaGA booted him. He probably should have.

He needs to pursue his next calling in life, which should be something less stressful that requires less time and thinking on the fly. He should get himself healthy and move on to the next phase of life.
Nail on the head. He only decided to continue coaching because we approached him and gave him the platform to call plays. His first two years he seemed energized but he looks defeated and miserable on the sidelines. I can see him giving it one more shot with Jarren at the helm next year but i think he'll step aside if things go sideways

We're not going anywhere of significance without a quality OC so the correct choice is A

pRicht beating UF.

As much as I hate saying this, I'd rather that we finish 6-6 or 7-5. If we somehow go 8-4/9-3 with a bowl win on top, they'll cite it as "progress" and won't make any changes. 6-6/7-5 ensures there would be some massive changes, and that an OC would be hired. The only way my mind would be changed is if we started Jarren and he began lighting it up. That's not happening though, nothing is gonna save this mediocre team this year.

I’m afraid that if we even win a few games we won’t see any changes on the offense. I believe Richt is out to prove his system works. So any form of success only valid his theory which is bs.

You had me until you said “I don’t care”. Which means your statements are super emotional (rightfully so). Dude isn’t going anywhere if he can continue to bring funding to the athletic program which non-revenue sports live off of. He’s Miami Son.
It’s not emotional it’s reality. If the season keeps going this way the 2019 class is going to fall apart and losing to UF after that would be a death nail in the coffin that is recruiting. I’m not saying he gets booted the next day, but he won’t last his contract and I don’t think he would last the season (unless we were to win every game after Florida).
HE IS NOT MIAMI. He never was.

You think he'll walk away from a $10M+ buyout (maybe $20M). C'mon man. Dont care how good or religious of a man he is, he aint giving that up

You act like it’s either or. There’s always a middle ground when the deal isn’t working for either side and they work out an arrangement for a mutual parting of ways. It happens all the time.

Richt doesn’t even grasp that every snap Rosier takes is a snap down the toilet. He is basically forcing himself into starting a RS Freshman next year with 0 snaps to his ctredit. Perry will probably transfer out. So Williams gets to open the season without throwing a pass.
Steve Walsh was 1 for 4 in completions before he opened the 1987 season against UF in the OB. He lit them up and we won 31-4. But we had JJ then and we are a helluva long way from that with Mork.

If Thomas Brown is in fact calling the plays he has zero experience in doing so. I like Brown but as a RBs coach not as a play caller. Watching The Alligators innovation on offense really drives a stake through the heart of Canes fans I must say.

Rick is just depressing all around so he better get his act together. I agree he isn’t going anywhere anytime soon so the only hope is he becomes a figurehead.

I seriously doubt that will happen.

Florida is going to beat us by 50 next year.

1) we are terrible, and this staff has failed at recruiting the answers to our problems.
2) Mark Richt is florida's *****.

And the guy that we probably should have hired is going to be in a state of euphoria

I usually think your posts are right on, but this is your best work.

My prediction is that he’ll coach one more season and negotiate a buy out. Wish it was this offseason, but his ego won’t allow it.
