I truly don't see a single benefit to playing him. He's mature? So does that make him protect the ball? That would be the only possible argument for playing the obviously least talented of your quarterbacks. The problem is he doesn't protect the freaking ball more than anyone else would. So he misses easy throws, eliminates opportunity for catch and run bc of inaccuracy, limits the playbook... and still doesn't protect the ball? There is no reasonable explanation.
