If we are starting Malik next year thats on Richt; and all the people who excused his putrid offense bc of “he doesnt have his QB” will be silent.
Now I'm confused. Is your beef because we have Nkosi Perry at QB instead of Lamar Jackson, or that we have Mark Richt as HC instead of Bobby Patrino?
"From the staff/players, it seems that this years version Perry is capable of winning 10-12(considering the schedule)and a better result in the acccg"
So 10 wins is not guaranteed with a guy who's done it, yet 10-12 is with a guy who's never taken a snap? And just stop it with the "he doesn't have any experience because CMR wouldn't play him," bull****. The guy who in your mind doesn't deserve another snap beat out and is still ahead of the guy you think should be starting because he's earned it. If and when Nkosi EARNS the job he'll get his chance, but it will not be because you or any other porsters here don't think Rosier deserves another snap.
Why would I want a QB who can escape a perfectly clean pocket. He stepped up and let the ends go by, just like you're taught to do. Then he just ran for no apparent reason out of a clean pocket right into the defender who had QB responsibility on the play. Leaving a clean pocket without ever looking downfield isn't escapability. It's stupidity. If he meets any P5 1st string linebacker he gets leveled. As it were, he met Derrion Owens who transferred to G5 Houston because he lost his 2nd string spot.

LOL, haven't you been paying attention? Perry is much better than Rosier, always has been. The only possible explanation is that Richt is afraid to play him. I mean, did you even look at that clip? The guy can not get sacked and juke people and stuff. If he's a better runner than Rosier, so there's no possible reason not to play him.
I’m pulling for Perry, but it’s premature to say he’s “better” than anybody. Pretty much anyone will agree has much better overall passing skills, a better arm, and overall he’s a better physical specimen as far as a passer. Taller, can see the field better from a physical perspective.
It will be great if he can put it all together and I’m praying he does.
But.....just because he’s better in shorts, in shells, and throws better in practices, doesn’t mean that translates to the film room, the mental and decision making aspects of the game, the scrimmages, and in actual college games.
Rick isn’t afraid to play him. Rick wants to play the guy that gives him the best chance to get the W. Perry has yet to prove he can do a better job as the QB. It’s as simple as that. He hasn’t had the chance this year yet. He will soon.
He has several scrimmages to step up and take the job. That’s what he needs to do. Whoever is the better leader and wins the scrimmages, based on the criteria Rick has set, is the starter. It’s that simple.
Perry is extremely athletic but what deeply concerns me is his mental game. Rosier is sharp as a tack— yes he throws picks but it has more to do with his accuracy (which don’t get me wrong is an issue) than misreads. There’s mumblings that Perry still can’t read defenses. That’s a problem. I’ve heard that Perry half-asses in class too by sleeping through lectures and that only adds fuel to my concern. IF this is true— it may or may not be— than I would apologetically root for Rosier to start and Williams to start next year.
He easily could. We know so little of what he is actually capable of regarding the mental status of the position. Obviously he has all the physical tools, but watching his tape whoch is all I have as a fan, all he did was out athlete teams. Which is spectacular, but not necessarily a prerequisite for elite d1 qb sucess. I am LONG on him because if he doesn't have that know there is nothing to say he wouldn't destroy the ncaa as a 21 22 year old bu the time he learns. He’s got another 4-5 months. Hoping he makes the most of it.
