Richt on QB situation, talks UNC

Sounds like Richt knows Feagles has been *** but still believes in him for some reason. Very interesting...

Good to hear that D Jax will be back.

We need him producing to help us run the table through the rest of the regular season, anyway.

@Stefan Adams ... it’s already Monday and JJ and AR are still being listed as “out” per your report.

What’s your sense of them even playing this Thursday, because I’m starting to get the feeling that it’s a no go for this Thursday.

BTW, great update as usual. You’re saving me a ton of money on subscriptions to the major newspapers. They can’t keep up with you

Regardless who starts, I believe Perry will end up as our QB by the end of the game. Malik just needs time to show his true colors against a good defense. It shouldn't take log for him to mess up and Coach put in Perry. The leash is very short!

He showed his true colors against a bad FIU defense. 2 pathetic unsuccessful drives. Perry comes in and shows just how terrible that FIU defense that was stopping Malik was.

Absolutely.

It was night and day.

And bonus points for the avatar of the Sooner Schooner on fire - looks like a photo from one of the mid-80s beatdowns.

Appreciate that.

We'll know more tomorrow, but I would say that they are probably going to be held out. I'd say Jaquan has a better chance than Ahmmon, he was doing a little more today off to the side.

I just don’t get it as to why CMR is worried about tipping his hand (As some mention it here) when the world knows what cards he holds. What is he afraid of? Is he lacking self-confidence? I just think he’s being obtuse at this stage in the game. He needs to tell everyone, “This is what we will do. Try and beat us.” He needs to inspire that old U swag, “Anywhere, anytime.”

The best thing to do is start rosier, it definitely is a tough situation, cause you cant start perry and if he struggles go back to rosier, itll be better in y opinion to start rosier and than bring in perry, cause ill say this, 2 of those passes he threw to harley, are more than likely picks against better defenses. He does have a rocket whenever he needs to use it tho. Unc is on another level than F.i.u. Although rosier was the starter in wind over Unc & Fsu, if you start perry this game, than he has to start the next one after that!

Thanks. Sounds about right.

The way I feel is, we may need them more in the games after UNC.

Bellichek basically wouldn't even admit Josh Gordon was on the squad.

Even if it give you 1% competitive advantage, that 1% more than you otherwise had. The great coaches know this and utilize it. I'm not knocking Richt for this.

I remember when Saban told a reporter she can wait 5 minutes to see who the starter was during pregame interviews for game one. Saban must have been soooo scared

As a fan it's annoying, but there really is no point in giving out information before the game.

Only way Rosier should see the field is if Perry struggles with the start and we bring him in to start the second half...I think Perry will do fine though.

I can see UNC blitzing early and often against Perry to start the game. Try to confuse the young QB and force turnovers. If our line holds and Perry checks the ball down...we win big.

If Fedora is smart enough to watch the tape from Saturday's FIU game, he only needs to gameplan for one QB - #5.

These are two very different QBs. Perry much better passer, Rosier tough runner and does damage running inside. Perry is skinny dude who likes to roll out when he runs. Rosier is 5th year senior with history of heroic close wins. Perry is shiny new car with high performance written all over it. Short week, thursday night national game against first conference and division opponent. Fairly easy for mark to start Rosier with short rope so unc can’t assume they start with Perry.
