While everybody talking about sitkowski and what qb gone be in the class. this dude working on having them getting splinters in their ***.

“He’s doing well. Just little things like ball placement. He threw some really pretty balls today. When you really know where you’re going with the ball — he’s really accurate. He’s got a live arm.

“Even deep ball shots, do you go over the top, do you go back-shoulder, do you throw the ball inside of a receiver because he beat the defender to the inside — he really has a good idea of what to do. He’s getting there. It’s just a matter of putting it all together at a rapid pace. It’s not that easy.”

Can't wait for the season to be over so we can get back to daily threads on this kid's weight.

I think Perry has a chance to start next year despite what Rosier does. I think the offense would have a higher ceiling with Perry or even Weldon. My problem is Rosier has great composure and you either have it or you don't.

Agree 99.9pct except for the Weldon issue.

Depends how we finish. If we win the coastal and finish the year like 11-2 or something, then Rosier will be the 18 starter. Period.

If Malik goes down, that redshirt getting burned fast....
Don't think richt would waste a year. Perry ain't playing this year at all

Sheriff's went in against UNC when Malik went down and it was a close game still with everything to lose

Uh no. Rosier is a placeholder. Trust me he is. Nothing special about Rosier. Rosier is nothing more then a athletic 1-2 read guy with a bunch of limitations . If Richt see more upside in Perry/Weldon they'll start. Anyone who knows football knows Rosier is limited. He is short, inaccurate, and just not an overall all good QB. Think Tebow with the Broncos because they are about the same. They have intangibles like being clutch, running, and composure, but can't throw and to OC it is infuriating calling plays for a QB like that.

As fans we think "he beat FSU so he much be good" but when the coaches put on the film and see terrible accuracy throw after throw it frustrating to them. When a QB like Rosier is killing drives because of his inability to consistently throw accurate passes then the fans base is blaming it on Richt's play calling even when Richt is calling a fairly good game it becomes irritating seeing time after time putting the QB in a position to succeed time and time again only for him to throw terrible passes or make poor decisions time and time again.

I really do hope Perry and Weldon are learning the playbook and taking things seriously because once they learn the plays they'll beat out Rosier pretty easily given his limitation. The best thing about this offense is if a limited Rosier can somewhat run it then wait until a QB with actual arm talent can do.

so true. its an execution problem.

To be fair, Rick's quote wasn't ALL positive on Perry if I'm reading it correctly. It seemed to say he's only really accurate WHEN he knows the play/progressions and where he's supposed to go with the ball.

Not a knock AT ALL on the kid as he learns the offense but probably the only signal you need to hear from a coach intent on a minimal QB mistakes if you somehow think you're going to see Perry this year.

Yea. If you take a look at the breakdowns that HurricaneVision does with the still photos. You can see that a lot of times the ball is being thrown into coverage as the 2nd or 3rd read is coming open. If Perry can prove that he can make those reads he should get the start. If Rosier matures to the point where he can make those reads, he should get the start.

If Rosier doesn't improve that part of his game, Defensive Coordinators from other teams with access to a full season worth of film are going to make his life miserable next season.

I am seeing a QB transfer after this year by Evan.

If Shirreffs doesn't xsfer, you might see Weldon leave. Don't think he sees himself as #4 on the depth chart (where he is right now). Might not even be content with #3 next year.

Didn't need the breakdown to see that tbh. I think I posted in the game day thread that Rosier was limited. Saw all that during the game. He miss Jeff Thomas for a 1st down who could still be running, an open Richard on that inc pass to Herndon, 2 terrible passes to Berrios or else he may still be running and would of had 3 TDs, and threw a 5 yard route on 4th and 13. Thats like 21 points off the board because Rosier has 0 accurate. And if you don't think Richt is frustrated watching this happen you are mistaken. Richt is probably just happy Rosier hasn't had a 4 INT game yet because of how limited he is. Rosier is getting a little to much praise for beating the worst FSU team in 40 years. FSU won't be fielding the worse teams in team history next year. If Weldon or Perry is taking things seriously they'll easily beat out Rosier idc what Rosier stats look like.

All the more reason to try and bring in a 2018 QB like Jack Tuttle who is currently committed to Utah. He is an athletic Brad Kaaya with a stronger arm.
