He now won't even think about bringing in an OC (not that he was going to anyhow) because this now takes the pressure off of him to make changes. You watch, this will be turned into some benefit to Richt because his top assistant bolted on him. This will probably get him an extra year because of the "rebuilding he needs to do on defense" because of the coaching change, or changes.

Would literally fix a lot of Miami problems. Give him a co DC Title and a big bump in pay and the responsibility of calling the defense. Then hire an additional co DC my pick would be Michael barrow at lb. instant coaching credibility and are both phenomenal recruiters.
