After much consideration and analysis it is obvious Richt's offensive design, simplicity and playing calling are hindering the effectiveness of the offense, the QB and the OL.
  • In the running game he run that one play to the right 95%. No running game diversity with guys pulling, counter/counter tre's or TE traps, all stuff being done at HS and college level. This would help the Olinemen because the defense can't just fire off or blitz at random.
  • His personnel decisions on the OL. Jahair Jones just doesn't have it. Mahoney too weak. Sliding Donaldson (hasn't lived up to billing) to guard and putting Scaife was was a good move, but he didn't stick with it and Jahair gave up a key sack.
  • His play calling is too **** slow! He is a momentum killer. Why call a TO and allow the defense to get set, just to do that run to the right. Speeding up the tempo will help the OL and the effectiveness of the offense.

The DC and DB coach have to do a better job coaching the defensive backfield.
  • Guys have to know who they are responsible for! Too many times guys too wide open and not contested.
  • Know how to run a proper stunt and timely blitz

That said props to the Players and coaches for not giving up and overcoming adversity for a Great Victory! Let's Go Canes!

Yea we won but we won't beat a good solid team playing like that, but a W is a W. His play calling is almost high school level, you need an all pro line for it to work, absolutely zero creativity, and all that preseason talk about the playbook lol what playbook we have like 12 plays. However, we happen to be in the ACC where we won't see anyone that can match our talent so he gets away with it, until Dabo comes in and takes him to school again

I agree it was pretty infuriating watching Mahoney and Jones getting they *** tossed back into the backfield and running lanes! Clemson will dog us again if we go to Charlotte with that lineup! But I also can’t ignore the weak *** formations and play calling done by Richt! Like serious we didn’t us I formation until the end of the 4th qtr!

We won.
All that really matters.
I usually don't react, because people are entitled to their opinion, but your statement is inconsiderate of all the issues this team faced and that there is nothing we could have done better or should improve on. We won and we all are happy, but we are not naive, like you, to think their isn't room for improvement.

I never said there wasn't any room for improvement so that is a naive assumption you are making.

After a win like that last night I am not going to nitpick offensive play calling or Defensive execution.
I am going to bask in the winning glory and know that this team can get better and will be favored against every team left on the schedule.

True, the Holes imploded, a good well coached team blows us completely out of our own stadium yesterday, came out flat, go down 2 TD 's, run dive plays vs 8 man fronts, won't get away with that p laying a good team

We allowed 200 yards total to one of the most talented teams in the country
We had 6 sacks (some of them coverage related)
2 TO( really 3)
12 TFL(really 13)

The defense is fine and top 3 in the country easily

FSU has grown men on the DL, I’m not the least bit surprised they dominated an OL consisting of Jahair Jones, Hayden Mahoney, and an out of position Donaldson. That’s 3 weak links out of 5!

The OL going forward has to be:

Scaife
Boulware
Gauthier
Donaldson
St Louis

Da fuq?

We just gave up only 130 yards passing and have the #1 pass D in CFB.

Richt has lost it as a play-caller. The entire offensive scheme is fvckin Mickey Mouse.

Aranda even said at the beginning of the year that we only run 2 concepts. So fvckin easy to defend.

I want a real OC - now I understand how UGA felt.

We held them 200 total yards, forced 2 turnovers on their side of the field, forced at least 2-3, 3 and Outs from deep in their own territory in the 3rd and 4th quarter. 3rd down could have been a little better but was still really good.

It’s not The 80s and 90s anymore those stats for this mordern era of CFB are consider really good. If not for our terrible punting (idk what we need to do there cuz it just sucks) we prolly would have destroyed this team. But we gave them short fields in the 1st half. When they didn’t have short fields they couldn’t score.

Is there anything in your life you don't complain about?

I bet Aranda wouldn't say that now. You realize Aranda said what he said because that's what we had at QB right? I mean I'm pretty sure Kosi is working the middle of the field really well and hitting a lot of slants. We didn't do that with 12 all last year or during his starts this year.

Think before you post. It's easier

I agree regarding the play-calling and the offensive line. We are far too one-dimensional in the running game and it showed after some early success. FSU adjusted, and we had no answer to counter.

We also never tried to establish a quick short intermediate passing game when it was apparent that dropping back to go down field on vertical routes was a 50-50 proposition.

So far as the defense was concerned, I think it was one of the best series of adjustments that side of the ball has made. It's funny, the only people who want to stick it to Manny Diaz are all Canes fans the rest of the country is in tune to the job he is doing. In this case, I think they're right.

Working the middle of the field is one of Perry's strengths.

Entirely different ball game with him under Center.

This was his second start mind you.

7 sacks* that 3rd TO counts as a sack too. Would've been Joe Jack's 3rd of the game
