Richt is gone but I’m not excited

They all seemed like good options in the beginning.
I don’t see any “unemployed “ coach that excites me.
Butch sounds pretty but I don’t think he’s the answer in reality. All the other coaches seem like the same crap we have been dealing with.

I hope we scour the NFL for someone otherwise I have zero faith in our leadership finding a long term answer.

I'm a little nervous, feel like Blake will both it again. We will see what names start popping up. I know it's bad, but I want Urban

Actually, Shannon and Coker was mediocre hires from the jump. Coker was a hire designed to get a title in the short term, and that's what he did. The problem was that he wasn't a long term solution. Shannon was an appeal to the locals, but he wasn't anywhere near ready. Golden and Richt were the only two hires you could successfully sell as sensible. That said, Miami can and should be able to find a legit coach, especially when one looks at the blossoming of talent at the mid major levels. Fans need to have a realistic expectation of what kind of job this is, and what kind of guy constitutes a good hire. This isn't Alabama, where you can go out and buy the hottest name. Miami has to have a set of guidelines, and beat the bushes and find a guy that fits those guidelines. Once again, it should be someone from the mid major ranks, someone that has shown that they can win with less, that can out scheme others. Miami isn't going to out talent people as much anymore, time to start developing guys again.

Coker, Shannon and Richt were never considered good options. There was plenty of unhappy people after each of those hires. The lazy fans just went along with the AD and cheered loudly.
