I remember the days Richt saying he didn't think Rosier would ever start for him and now glorifies him.

I remember Richt cussing this mf Rosier out on national tv to run the play but now worships him.

Richt said in the Maria Taylor and Holly Rowe piece that Malik needs to perform to keep his job...well, after 14 starts and 4 straight losses...this kid sucks. I could probably name a bunch of freshmen in college fb the past of couple years that have out performed this 5th year guy. 5th year! Are you f****ing kidding me.

Make the move Richt.

Tama Toa, huh? So the firing squad has gone from NJPW to CIS? This could get interesting.

Georgia is looking like they made the right move. Richt is done. Someone name a room after him or give him free UM tickets for the rest of his life. We need Aranda, the Oklahoma coach, etc...young blood. The next faces of cfb not the AARP.

Give it a rest on this coach change BS. This program is in much better shape than prior to Riches arrival. One bad game and the know nothing’s start whining.

Georgia, Vtech, Oklahoma, Texas, etc...all elite programs that are setting themselves up for the next 20 years of college football with all the new and YOUNG hires. These guys will and can outcoach Richt right now. I would be willing to bet Dabo is next in line at his alma mater Alabama once Saban retires in 5 years...

Did you say Texas? Herman lost to maryland who had no coach. I'm not sure Texas has it right but fuente and frost were the 2 I wanted.

As for Butch, that sh***t needs a break. He too is expired milk. He fu**** up his legacy when he went for $$$ instead of dominating college football for years to come when it was right in the palm of his hands. I bet he regrets that decision everyday and now stuck in a shizthole aka FIU.

His hand HAS to be forced. If he was willing to throw in Sheriffs for a series in the 4th quarter during a run at the playoffs, what excuse is there not to look at making a move now?

Texas will eventually get there. When it comes to $$$, aren't they #1 in value (revenues)? Scott Frost would have been a worthy experiment considering what he did with lesser talent.

I'm a big believer in the free market. The free market says Butch Davis was done as a head coach at a P5 program. If he was any good, he'd have had more offers than Miami or FIU. If we offered a recruit who had only DII offers, you'd lose your mind. P5 programs have zero issues with hiring low character coaches as long as they win, yet no one was willing to kick the tires on Davis. Davis had a chance to build an empire and blew it. I don't forgive that easily. His job offers (or lack thereof) tell me all I need to know.

Richt was absolutely the best hire at the time because I thought there was no doubt he'd be hungry for success, and he'd look at Miami as an opportunity to get his revenge on people who said he was a coach who would always fall short of a championship. But hiring his own son to be a QB coach who recruits QBs (failure); sticking by Diaz and Searles even though they are bad at their jobs (failure); and refusing to make a change at QB tells me that Richt is going to do things the same way he did at UGA, with the same results.

You’re a big believer in the free market, but you thought Richt was the best hire for this program even though he was fired for non-performance??? That don’t make any sense.

Richt was being considering by the likes of UVA and other middling programs, not big time P5 programs or historic ones. The “free market” said Richt was mediocre and not that great

Of course they made the right move u could tell instantly by there recruiting classes. Only people that want to believe what they want see what they want to .....they ignored that

I think he was the best available coach. He was fired for non performance, but there were reasons to believe that the lack of success wasn't entirely his fault. Bill Belichick got fired by the Cleveland Browns once upon a time. I thought for sure, 100%, that Richt would run through a wall to get a championship at Miami, and I expected us to be in the playoffs in 2019, with a shot at a championship. Based on what I saw yesterday, I'm selling on my 2019 expectations.

As long as you've got a braindead following, hypocritical these days is not only possible it is encouraged.

Whatever you said yesterday or last week or last month has no meaning at all

Remember the other alleged options? Mario, Schiano, and Mullen, IIRC. Rumor had it Patterson was contacted but wasn’t interested.

Richt was the right hire at the time. I also felt, or hoped, the Miami job would rejuvenate him. And it did to an extent. The program needed an IV of something good. Three years later we have an IPF, the Paradise Camps, and a restored recruiting infrastructure. Money is being spent on the program.

But Richt’s staffing choices have been mostly subpar. Coach Kool got him off on the right foot. Brown, Dugans, and Hartley are good to very good, although I’d prefer a FT special teams coach over Hartley having that on his plate. Searles has been average but did have hardest rebuilding job. Still, I wouldn’t give him a passing grade.

The defensive staff is no bueno. I’ll give Simpson time since he’s new. Diaz thinks he smarter than he is, Rumph and Banda are just average, and Patke is a nobody. Still amazed Miami took the opportunity to hire a 10th coach and more or less promoted a GA. Why the defense is littered with such inexperience is beyond me. Maybe no coach with meaningful experience wants to report to Diaz?

Richt Jr. is a joke. Pure nepotism. Jeff Bowden 2.0, or worse. His hiring might even be considered unethical if Miami were not a private school.

Hypothetically speaking...

We finish 10-2, win the costal, get throttled by Clemson again, and win the Bowl game.

Y’all still want Richt gone?
