Richt has left too many

His offenses at UGA were pretty good. He did not run this garbage for 15 years. He produced some pretty good QBs, skill position players, and OL during his tenure. He is masking (IMO) deficiencies at OL and QB.

And even with those good QB's, etc. he still could not win the big one. Richt is an underperformer. He needs to become CEO and face of the program and step away from playcalling. Him being involved with this offense is hurting the team in other areas, mainly ST.

Are you aware that they stripped him of his playcalling duties?

Are you aware that they scored more points and gained more yards after this move?

He was still putting his input in plays even though he wasn’t calling the plays, which worries if he was to hire a OC would he let the guy run the new guys system or his, because it aint just the play calling the plays are trash too

Yes, the HC has input on the plays. Just like any HC. They have “input”.

None of this negates my post.

Fair enough. I like Richt as a person and he might make a good head coach here if he makes some tough decisions., He needs to step away from the offense. It’s a train wreck and only getting worse. Let’s see if he’ll make the tough choices of firing himself as OC and his QB coach. Else nothing will change.

He also had Mike Bobo as the OC for a part of that.

Look, you guys can laugh and down vote all you want. Bottom line is we are not where we want to be. What I was trying to say is where we are now and where we were before Richt got here is night and day better. Maybe I didn't portray that. Yes, his play calling leaves a lot to be desired. He literally calls 5 ******* plays. My point is until we get an OL that can open holes and pass pro, and until we get a QB that consistently makes the throws and correct reads, I think he is trying to simplify the plays to mask our current deficiencies. Yes, we are in year 3, and yes he is part of the reason we have some of these deficiencies... But ****, you can't take a mess and clean it up over night. WE NEED OL... Both talent and development. Some people around here just have unrealistic expectations at the moment. And no, I don't give a ****, we should never lose to Va so I do understand the frustration. I am frustrated too. I for one, hope he realizes his faults and hires a young creative mind to run the offense. He needs to get rid of his son and Patke at the least and hire a real OC and a special teams coach.

To me, Richt has done a good job with what he was given. We are in year 3. We have progressed each year. My judgement begins next year when he has his full compliment of players. Yes, we had high hopes this year with the soft schedule but we still lack depth and seasoned difference makers on this team (QB/OL). I hate his play calling with a passion at the moment but I will hold off judgement 1 more year.

Some good points in there, but 2/3 units have digressed in year 3. There is no emphasis on special teams, whatsoever. Richt needs to light a fire under Stacy S. Canes oline is like 2nd rate Sun Belt team.

We need trench warriors!!! Need OL/DL that can control the LOS like Willis does on a consistent basis. When Willis leaves then what? Hopefully Nesta. On the Oline hopefully Donaldson keeps growing and Scaife gets in the weight room and ...... Trench Warriors

Stones unturned. He should coach as if his job depended on it.

When a Coach or leader gets too relaxed, comfortable... job performance suffers.

Turn over some stones Richt.

Fire!!!! Mork Rich doesn't have it. All the coaches that are currently coaching that have national championships have many things in common. One of them is the desire to win at all costs and the internal Bonfire of the Vanities!

Yes absolutely, but we were playing VIRGINIA!!!!! Do I need to scream it again ...

But this isn't about him having his players.

It's about his playcalling.
It's about his QB development.
It's about his inability to field a competent OL.
It's about his inability to fix ST.
It's about being able to have his team sharp in the first half of a game.

But mostly it's about his continued insistence that this is all some type of misunderstanding that will work itself out soon. It's not. Changes need to be made and Richt has shown no willingness to change anything. What good is more time if he's just going to do the same things that got us here?

Listen, we out talent everyone on our schedule outside of LSU. Both on offense and defense. Saying we need more players for this offense to perform is honestly projecting. We have the players for this offense to be much better than 77th. The players are already there for a better offense than that. What the players are currently lacking is development and the right playcalling. That falls squarely on Richt.
