Richt has been masterful putting together this staff

Man i remember the last time we hired corch golden he brough a bunch of temple guys and non qualified corches. Man o man what a difference
 
Hiring Diaz is not "masterful". Otherwise I agree, he's done a great job cleaning house. Let's steal Moffit and Raymond away from L$U and then I'll be less rustled about the DC hire.
 
The only blemish on Diaz's record is the year in Texas. Nobody was going to turn around that defense. His attacking style was too complicated for them. Great hire and a top 10 DC IMO. I have watched his defenses since his MTSU days, that's a great hire.
 
Unlike he who was fat and is no longer here, Coach Richt has a track record of firing assistant coaches when needed, so I'm good with it.

This staff is full of SEC guys. If you want to compete with the best conference this is how you start! Major upgrades across the board so far!

Dude, we get it. Let it go. We don't play there and haven't played there for a while. You're acting as if Our DC played a role in the decision. Posting this in every thread does nothing

It is that "to complicated" part that worries me. Complication shaves speed. Speed was always our edge. Love the attacking part. Well, at least Mark has shown willingness to fire coaches. Just hope Mark realizes he is back in Miami and will not get 5 years to win, no less 15.
 
manny diaz was a good hire . his defenses at miss state have been very good. he isn't working with alot of 5 star talent either. its most like 3 star talent. texas was a 1 yr thing. he 1st year there there d was excellent.

there were some issues with mac browns recruits late in his tenure. weather it was they felt entitled or what texas was never the same after colt mcoy graduated. thats not on diaz

diaz is a well respected dc in coaching circles and by most experts. with good reason also. good hire. the whiners are those that wanted aranda and feel miami settled when i feel diaz was his top choice from day 1.
 
if by "masterful", you mean scrambling for a back up after your top dog takes the SEC money, then sure, it was "masterful"
 
Which one of his new coaches will Richt fire first? My guess is CORCH Diaz.

It was his father and if that's tour main complaint we did well with the hire. I've seen you say this on 3 threads already get over it man.
