Richt can't call plays

Stafford's the only first rounder Richt has coached.

I was referring to the entire team. 6 kids went to the nfl that year that Stafford did. Stafford was the first overall pick in the entire draft. Our running back Moreno was the 12th over all pick and our big wide receiver went early in the 2nd round if I remember right. Point being we had 6 nfl players on that team including the best QB in all the land. ANDddddd we went 10 and 3 lol. Lost by 2 scores to alabama. Got blown the **** out by florida 49-10 when we were ranked 1 and 2 for the first 4 games of the year. Then we had the Ole guaranteed yearly Bad team loss to Ga tech that still boggles the mind.

The best talent in all the land with top 5 recruiting classes almost yearly will still end in getting hopes up only to be dashed when it comes to the big game.

Your program has one title in history so it’s not really surprising that Richt didn’t win one there.

Im not surprised by it. Richt showed Uga they can recruit the kids capable of winning. Just not with him coaching them. Like canes fans we expect more. And more is what miami will get. More foreplay than you have had in 10 years but you will get left hanging when it starts getting fun.

Uga just always refused to spend the big money on a big coach.

If richt decides to stop being stubborn and hires an OC worth a ****, Miami will win a NC in 2019/2020...

I wouldn't hold my breath on that.

Richt's poor play calling is partially to blame for the lost, among a host of other reasons, yes, including the refs, questionable schemes by Diaz, poor individual play by players...and Wisconsin seeming to want it more than we did.

CMR is probably not thinking he did a horrible job. First time in his career he's ever won 10 straight. Woulda been 11 if not for Irma. Richt is improving. We still just aren't deep enough at certain positions to win these types of games.

We haven't had any NFL players on offense since Herndon went down. And only one since AR went down. There is still more work to be done and we aren't deep enough on offense.

And our D got exposed too.

Rosier stinks, but when you pass pass pass to the same zone four times in a row and then finally get picked off, thats not on Rosier, thats on the playcalling. When you run wildcat three times in a row and then pass on 3rd down and its well covered, thats not on Rosier.

Rosier stinks, but Richt puts him in terrible spots. Just look at the number of runs we have per game...if it was simply a trustbissue, wed be running 40 times per game.

Richt just stinks as a playcaller, too, and Rosier isnt good enough to compensate for it.

Richt does some questionable things as an OC but I’m in the wait and see mode with that. And that is due to Rosier who clearly can’t go through his progressions and is wildly inaccurate.

he has been limited for two years with two qbs with below average football IQ's. rosier is just a better athletic than kaay about same stuff. weak touch, staring down receivers, cant adjust, etc.

we just scored 24 on one of the top defenses in america and left another 13 on the field

as a comparison, osu* scored 27 on the same defense

all with a slightly above average d1 qb, slightly above average d1 ol and our three best offensive players injured and out

we lost this game because of poor db play and because we got whupped on the lines and because we have multiple spots that need to get better through recruiting such as qb, ol and db

We had these same complaints about Richt's play calling last year I believe. The play calling has not gotten any better this year.
Very predictable, we may be the only team that doesn't even put a guy in motion.
We may be the only team that doesn't run a jet sweep. What happened to throwing to the TE.
Problem is CMR came here to call plays and he is very old fashioned in his play calling.
Rosier is an average QB but Richt is stubborn in his play calling.

We had almost 400 yards of offense against the #1 defense without three of our top offensive weapons and a broken QB.

What should we have called inside the 10 against a packed-in zone defense?

Rosier was under 50% completions yet again. He was seeing ghosts out there.

It's a different game from when Richt called plays. The game is vastly different than that of 1990's and early 2000's. That basic offense getting ate up by any competent defensive coordinator and decent athletes

Us Dawg fans about pulled our hair out begging year after year after year for him to hire a special teams coach. ANY special teams coach because missed field goals, blocked field goals, poor kick coverage would KILL us constantly. He refused. He will get you guys another play caller but not until he gets lazy like he did at UGA. The moment you guys let him feel like hes going to be there for 10 years it will go south quickly. When I saw how much weight he had gained in the last 2 years I knew he was just to comfortable.

Btw..........tripled up my bankroll in Richts last 3 games. Everyone on the planet told me I was stupid to take pitt after he found a way to win all year. For dawg fans that game was the easiest to pick all year. Get comfortable. Feel entitled without winning anything.........then show up ill prepared like you were looking ahead expecting a gifted win. VINTAGE RICHT at Uga.
