Richt can't call plays

Richt tries to open up the playbook, but our QB continues to show Richt he cannot handle it. Not Richt or Maliek's fault... Maliek just sucks and he is our best current option

Richt did have matt Stafford and several other first round draft picks.

Stafford's the only first rounder Richt has coached.

I was referring to the entire team. 6 kids went to the nfl that year that Stafford did. Stafford was the first overall pick in the entire draft. Our running back Moreno was the 12th over all pick and our big wide receiver went early in the 2nd round if I remember right. Point being we had 6 nfl players on that team including the best QB in all the land. ANDddddd we went 10 and 3 lol. Lost by 2 scores to alabama. Got blown the **** out by florida 49-10 when we were ranked 1 and 2 for the first 4 games of the year. Then we had the Ole guaranteed yearly Bad team loss to Ga tech that still boggles the mind.

The best talent in all the land with top 5 recruiting classes almost yearly will still end in getting hopes up only to be dashed when it comes to the big game.

Those saying its just Rosier, have you seen him play, etc. Rosier isn't perfect, but at a bare minimum, 90 percent of the OC'ers in this country would get more out of him.

Just wait, you'll catch on eventually.

Rosier put up 31 TDs this year. The most in Miami history. Hot take alert.

Rosier is bad but the biggest problem was our ****** running game.

Your program has one title in history so it’s not really surprising that Richt didn’t win one there.

After Wisconsin goes up 27-21 late in the third, Richt runs the wildcat with Dallas consecutively with Malik coming back on 3rd and 10 (incomplete). You have an inconsistent QB and that's the position you put him in, on a crucial series?? Sometime I just don't know what he's thinking.

The easy thing to do is blame Rosier for the offensive futility (see Kaaya last year).

Yep! Drove me crazy but he loves to run the same play back to back.

This...

Yea our offense is depleted and not as talented as it will be next year even if we do have to play a ton of freshmen..but the scenario you mentioned and throwing on 3rd and 2 makes me want to slap the goat-T off your face

Im not surprised by it. Richt showed Uga they can recruit the kids capable of winning. Just not with him coaching them. Like canes fans we expect more. And more is what miami will get. More foreplay than you have had in 10 years but you will get left hanging when it starts getting fun.

Uga just always refused to spend the big money on a big coach.

If richt decides to stop being stubborn and hires an OC worth a ****, Miami will win a NC in 2019/2020...

I can’t wait to see when Perry is at the helm and see if QB play is the excuse for dumb *** calls repeatedly. Rosier isn’t an excuse for poor clock management and horrible down and distance awareness repeatedly but fu** it. 2018 maybe eyes will open.

We just played two teams in a row that were in the top 5 in the country in pass defense. That category dictates outcomes, as I've emphasized for decades. The sports media might begin to pay attention in perhaps a quarter century or so.

If we had drawn a bowl opponent that allowed 7 yards per attempt then our cutesy RPO throws would have been available. Instead we draw an opponent allowing 5.8. Bad things are going to happen. We hit the deep ball to Cager on an improvised play but overall Wisconsin shut down the tinkerbell stuff we rely on so heavily. I had to laugh when we were still attempting a screen pass with a minute to go down 10.

Those two teams were also rated higher than the Canes in preseason ratings. That category points to bowl outcomes also, no matter how dependably the clueless types try to deny it. Wisconsin was 9th in the preseason consensus. Miami was 17th. Wisconsin allowed 5.8 YPA entering this game. Miami allowed 6.2. Those aren't impossible deficits to overcome, especially on your home field, but as I mentioned in the USC thread last night when both categories point to the opponent then you've got a bit of a problem.

That opponent is simply superior, far more often than not.

I suggest the Canes achieve a high preseason rating, and for the pass defense to remain stalwart throughout the season instead of falling apart late, like this year. Entering those final 3 games we were allowing 5.5 but it was well over 7 during the final 3 games combined.

Lol this playbook is never coming out. Next year the excuse will be “he can’t open the playbook with a freshman QB”.

Open the fcking book already Richt. Malik sucks but he’s not dumb.

90 percent of offensive coordinator's would get more out of Rosier? You've got to be kidding me. He set a Miami school record for touchdowns, went 10 and 3 as a starter, had a couple game-winning drive's, etc.

He's a 6 foot former baseball player who second best offer at quarterback was from Arkansas state. Our own head coach told him once that he would never play for him. That pretty much says it all.

BECAUSE HE CAN'T RUN ANYTHING HE WANTS SINCE HE HAS A HORRIBLE EXCUSE OF A QB MANNING THE HELM THAT CAN'T MAKE A GOD **** THROW TO SAVE HIS LIFE

Navy beat Vag and only attempted one pass.

Malweak is a horrible QB but that doesn't excuse our lack of creativity and **** poor play calling on offense.

Lol Malweak...

Exactly no reason to throw on 3rd and 2 if Malik is so ****ti
