Richt bowl record

Pretty good although a small sample size.

With that being said Miami is 0-6 in its last 6 bowl appearances so Richt has been a lot better.
 
14 bowl games is a small sample size? Not everyone has coached 50 years.

Pretty much any bowl record is a small sample size lol. Two more wins and he'd be almost .800 in bowls, but two more losses and he'd only be .500 in bowls.
 
Meaningless empty stat with no application to our particular situation.

We win out regardless of that number.

Les Miles 8-6
Mark Dantonio 5-5
Bobby Petrino 5-4
Bob Stoops 8-9
Kirk Ferentz 6-7

Bowl games tend to be a pretty good indicator of coaching and preparation. You get plenty of time to learn the opponent, and they get time to know you. So the best prepared usually wins. All of the coaches above have been in comparable bowl games as Richt in terms of the caliber of the competition.

That's interesting. Although I suspect he has a fair number of close bowl wins as well.

Bowl games usually tend to be close since they're against evenly matched opponents.
