Richt at UGA

Tried Cam Newton for a TE...offered Watson late...never offered Fromm but went all the away across the Country for Eason...yet people keep saying let's see what He can do with Perry even though the best He could do with a dual threat was 10-3 with Shockley in 05'.

We'll see!!!

Eason was like #3 QB so it’s silly to try and knock him for that. Fromm only got offered by Bama two months before Richt got let go at Georgia so don’t act like Bama or other schools offered the kid 3 years before anyone else. He whiffed on Cam and Watson. Recruiting isn’t Richts problem

I'll wait til year 3 to jump to conclusion.

But best believe if we beat LSU, FSU and win the coastal/ACC you ****ers need to back off Richt for at least a couple seasons

Richt's highest win total in his 15 years at UGA was in year 2. Overall winning % at UGA was .740. After 2 years at Miami (FL) it's .731. I hate to say it, but perhaps what we see is what we get.

So your saying we're going to have be satisfied with winning 74 % of our games over 15 years ? How embarrassing (insert sarcasm)

Forgets about Stafford

Forgets about MettenBurger

Forgets Aaron Murray

This guy is the king of revisionist history.

Why do we have to wait for year 3 for a conclusion? Look I am extremely happy Rick is here but there is such thing as accountability and fans holding people accountable. We tried the hands off approach how did that work out the past 15 years?

The defense gave up almost a 100 points the last 3 games. 2 of those teams sucked on offense let’s face it. Kelly Bryant? Well we saw what a great defense can do to him last night. He looked like God himself in Charlotte I was there!

Look no one has all of the answers but what happened to a secondary that has a second team All American and a guy who may go pro? People want to say that these guys aren’t that good when the talent is only part of the issue. Quarterman and McCloud also regressed big time this season.

The bottomline what what I am seeing is teams are adjusting to Manny’s schemes and he has had no answers. Wisconsin offense looked like well like a typical Whisky offense in the 1st quarter. That was until their OC outschemed Manny and dropped 21 straight of him. It happened vs Clemson as well again 21 straight.

Offense shares some of the blame going 3 and out but often but the D has to make a play at some point. They didn’t and when you don’t get turnovers in a Diaz defense you are going to be in for a long night!

So you're saying his best year was a one loss year? You mean like Butch Davis? Sorry, but I have to say I enjoy having an experienced coach from a Power 5 program rather than Golden, Shannon and Coker. People keep saying Richt has proven his ceiling, but he's never recruited out of Coral Gables before.

another stupid thread about our coach of what he did in the past and not what he has done for us so far. you also forget that the SEC East use to be a tough conference. It only went downhill in the last 5 years and the SEC West became better. ungrateful asses. 10/11 wins, coastal champs, played in acc champ, played in the orange bowl, top 10 recruiting class. we are an above average team with lack of depth. we are rebuilding. it takes time.

And yet Richt's UGA team, including the major tal;ent that now has them in the NC game, couldnt even compete in the SEC East his last few years. Getting blown out by Mushchump, Butch Jones, Horse Teef....

Both of those SR RB's that Kirby ran into the ground was injured ...

Richt couldn't get to the big dance at Gawja but Kirby can do it with Fromm in year 2? Hmmm.

And you don't think that’s because this defense was gassed? Do you even understand how inefficient we were on O because we can’t even execute a simple screen pass? That pick by Rosier never happens if Mcdoormat doesn’t whiff on his block....and then you have people asking why our O doesn’t look like Oklahoma. I can tell you this team finished top 5 in defensive snaps without even looking up the stats not only because we were average on third downs but because we were 123th in time of possession, 80th in first downs, and 107th in 3rd down conversion rate. Does that sound like a team deserving of being 10-3? I’ll give you the first quarter of the Clemson game because that was absolutely horrendous but how do you want him to field a top ten defense when LSU is more efficient than our Offense....and how do you want Richt to get more creative on O if we can’t complete a simple screen correctly?

Richt Former players > Al Golden former players

Georgia’s loss at Auburn would have kept them out of the championship during the BCS. Kirby also has 31 seniors and even more draftable upperclassmen left from Richt. We’ll see what he can do in two years

It's not embarrassing. It's also not Jimmy Johnson.

2005 UGA? 2007 UGA? 2012 UGA? You can’t just base of their record...they also played a ****ty FSU team that year in a bowl. If the playoff were around they would’ve been shoe ins 2 those years too. We’re not UGA...we have a superior recruiting ground with superior speed and we’ve won titles with half of talent this staff has. Just let it play out...we’ll probably know what we have by next year.

What team was that?

You don't know that. The BCS system was completely different, AND being the SEC champ would have carried a ton of weight.

I’m talking coaching staff wise, not team wise.
