Truthfully I think both of our coordinators are just decent, not great.
I don't really have faith that either one of them will out-coach the big boys once we get to the playoffs.
We just lost to a team that has less talent than us. We got shredded by a true freshman WR and a QB who threw 15 INT's this season.
Why should I believe that an influx of talent will have us competing with the likes of Clemson and Alabama? (those games will come down to coaching)
Finally, a fair assessment. I'm awfully tired of reading the hypocrisy of guys attacking the offense and not the defense and vice versa. There are strikingly similar problems on both sides of the ball. The same way we'll wait to see what Richt does with a competent QB is what we should do to see how Diaz adjusts with an infusion of talent (or simply growth and development) at DB. While Richt certainly tried different things on Saturday night and during the season, so did Diaz. They both had shining moments and, ironically, remain with the same problem: 3rd down conversion offense and defense. There's more to be seen, for sure, before making any final judgments.
