Richt addresses Thomas, Richards, Weldon, O-Line play ahead of UVA

A lap around the field?????? Dude come on, this isn’t optimist football

I’d at least make them crab walk down and back the length of the field....

In all seriousness I haven’t been very impressed with Searles as a coach, even though he’s one of the higher paid on staff

**** suspended 4 games?

Has there been a player with that long of a suspension since Richt has been here?

IIRC Dayall Harris was suspended for like 3 games, but I don't remember the team announcing a lengthy suspension like that before.

Weldon can't get it together. Expect him to transfer out. We need another QB prospect...and fast.

Laps?!? How about bear crawls, rolling the entire field, up downs, etc? We need big, mean lineman not marathon runners.

Glad to hear about Pope. That kid has the goods.

Work on getting JT more touches, Richt.
If you read the post you should have gathered that JT is about to see fewer touches because we've been asking so much of him and he's a little dinged up. The guy returns punts, kickoffs, and is our best WR.

Exactly why Lingard should be on that

Where you been? Richards was suspended four EVER to hear some tell it.

agree this had to be a serious offense or a repeat HUGE failure of the first suspension. Hopefully Weldon's family in on board with what CMR is trying to accomplish and teach this kid! CMR is big into life teachings > football. With that said, I told my wife at the end of the FSU game, I would have let both Weldon at QB and Jennings at RB (for the final play only) to take the final victory formation against FSU. Would have loved that!

Sooo we just gonna overlook the fact that he said pope will get more touches ? Can’t wait for him to contribute especially with the Richards news. We need all our playmakers on the field.

Oppossing teams have been giving him the bizness after plays as well.

Contradictory statement

"Miami’s offensive line really struggled against FSU, giving up 5 sacks, 13 TFL, and numerous pressures on the QB".

“Our effort is good, we’re blocking pretty good at the point (of attack) in the run game, our perimeter blocking is improving,” Richt said of the O-Line. “We haven’t had as many big runs, but we’ve had a few.”

I think we are making way too many excuses for our OL. These guys have not shown the level of improvement I expected to see this year.

Still can’t establish the run when we want to even versus inferior teams. They are not getting it done as a unit and that falls squarely on Searles. ****, the guy is still tinkering with his starting rotation in Week 6 as if he doesn’t know his personnel.

Not impressed.
