Is comparable to an old school NBA offense. 30 years ago, the offense in the NBA was ran through the post. There is no such thing as post scoring in the NBA nowadays. Football 30 years ago, the offense was set up by the run, that is no longer the case. In 2018, establishing the passing game sets up the offense and the run. Richt is so clueless, it’s very scary.

I didn’t look past 2007 but the last 10 Super Bowl winners haven’t had a 100 yard rusher. But keep trying to establish that Dive play Richt and see where it gets you.

"Canes" in name, fewer than 100 posts, and bringing amazingly insightful threads to the board? There should be a special name for that. Like "Super-fan-guy" or "Guy-who's-just-keeping-it -real" or "Not-at-all-a-troll-guy". Something like that.

When was the last time a spread, pass first team won a championship? A good running game opens up the pass. It rarely works the other way around.

We are running a lot of the same formations as other teams in the country. To me, it’s more that plays that are being run are very vanilla.

Route trees are very basic
No motion
No misdirection
No set up plays
No tempo
His tendencies are so obvious.
- 3rd and short... FB dive
- inside the red zone... QB keeper
- 3rd and 8+... vertical concepts
- Wildcat... DJ is always keeping it
- Read option... almost always a give to RB

He’s lost the feel for the game. Defenses are keyed into his tendencies.

Just curious what does all that have to do with reality? I’ve been on the board for awhile and don’t post that much and was here for the recruiting info Pete gave, so I created a quick name. I left TOS cause the MOD was an absolute moron. People who troll have no lives. Now if you have something to refute what I said, then bring some actual content to the thread. Pleasure meeting you and your 8,000 posts and awesome username Kryptonite.

Clemson 2017 is a start. They had 4 receivers go for a 100 yards against a Saban lead team. Patriots and Eagles the last two years are pass first offenses. Other than Bama cause their 2nd string oline is probably better than 75% of all starting olines, what team college or pro won establishing the run? The last Giants title?

Richt’s leather helmet offense is straight garbage!

If you look around you'll see that this topic is addressed quite thoroughly in many, many threads already. There was no need to bring it up again.

That plus the factors I mention make you look like a troll who's just looking to get people even more whipped up than they already are.

If that was not your intent, then I hope you find the answers you seek.

Cheers.

Yup. Clemson’s best/only true running game was Deshaun Watson on inside runs, draws, and misdirection option. It’s amazing that guy stayed healthy all year with the pounding he took, but that offense was nearly impossible to defend as long as he was healthy.

Can you lead me to the many, many other threads? It was a different type of way of explaining Richts philosophy and how bad he really is as a coach. I’m tired of it I invest too much into a Canes season to watch this garbage of a product. Sounds to me like you accept mediocracy and don’t want the best. You prefer eating at Outback, I prefer Houston’s.

He was such a threat to run that it opened up the pass! Deshaun Watson is a generational QB and one of the best to play CFB.

Sounds to me like you're a sanctimonious prick who would rather tell me what I think than listen. Of course I'm not sure about that because I won't bother telling what I think, you don't deserve that. What I will tell you is to get off your whining *** and look around...every thread on the first page talks about Richt's failures. While you're looking you'll notice a few comments from me and that will give you an idea of what I think about all this.

Or you can continue to troll around here pretending to seek answers. Your choice.

So you think the same way as every other coach that plays Bama. If we can run for 100 against them we have a chance. How has that worked out for them? Thinking like that you've already lost the game. The Patriots are more of a spread team and have been for many years. Someone saying they don't work isn't paying attention. They win at the end of many games because D's are tired of chasing guys around. For the past 10 years or so I have always liked pass to open up the run. Most teams don't have the offensive lines to compete with the big boys trying to run first and win games. Fast pace an a passing game is the way to open up the run, but that's just my opinion.

Hahaha I’m suppose to chase down your responses in other threads to get your opinion? You must be a know it all if you think like that. Are you reading what you are writing here? Like who the f**k are you to even comment in this thread to begin with. I’ve forgotten more football then you’ll ever know. Cause you have 8,000 post you know what is going on?

Like I said I made a thread that is comparing philosophies of two different sports but the same thinking. Haven’t seen one like that yet. If you want to talk about that then sure I’m all ears. Otherwise get a f**king life talking about “canes” in his name and a certain amount of post. Lol

Really? And all you can come up with is "Richt's offense is outdated. And that's a thing that happens in other sports too."?

Let's start at the top of that list and work our way down. I don't think we'd get past #3 before finding a guy who would jump at the chance to come here and work with the talent we have on this roster.. It's just not that complicated for us to be a relevant contender.
