This.No way. There's no rhyme or reason. They're all over the place mixing and matching and are clueless who will play. We need some cohesion immediately on the OL, or the season is shot.
It's been explained by both posters & the Coaches...
They're creating versatility in the event that one of the starters goes down that they can reshuffle the line & still have a consistent 5 without a steep drop off in play.
That's why Zion has gotten reps at LT, not because he's gonna start but because if Campbell were to get hurt they want him to be ready to move into that spot seamlessly & be comfortable, he'll also be playing Guard this year.
Same situation with Ousman Traore, he's the primary LG, but he's taken reps at both C & RG, because if Gaynor went down, only he & Jakai Clark have experience taking snaps at Center.
Lash & Justice are trying to build us a 2 deep that's strong enough to sustain the ebb & flow of a crazy *** season.
The problem is fans get snippets from scrimmages & practices & think that's the whole of everything we're doing, the staff is strategic about what they put out for a reason, not everyone who has performed well has been reported on & not every stat gets released.
The coaches know who is going to start, but there's a method to the madness in not setting anything in stone for the public to consume.
