I was 9 years old when this game was played and don’t remember most of the game aside from the pass inference call. Why do u think we lost the game aside from the call at the end.Because Ignorance is Bliss....
McGahee getting hurt was Devastating...He had just scored earlier...That combined with Shoddy OL play was our undoing...Shouldve been UMs ball after Clarett stripped Sean, because they both had the ball on the ground...Rules state...in cases of that...ball remains with offense..I was 9 years old when this game was played and don’t remember most of the game aside from the pass inference call. True, but if I remember right, we were starting to get our act together and then the mother of all knee injuries was unloaded on us.like I said, that defense had pro's all over it
rhomberg was getting WORKED
We seem always have that problem of being too ****y esp after winning a nc.in our glory years if we'd just focused on playing Miami football we'd have more than 5 ncs.after winning a nc team takes things for granted they forget what got them there.Sean getting stripped did us in before the flag. I kept hollering get down but ST was always thinking six.
It was the most devastating loss of my sports life . ND ‘88 second (Gary fumble).
I still say to this day we deserved to lose , we were ****y and over confident coming in. Guys were passing out national champ party invitations before the game. Just like Bama/UM in the sugar bowl , we stepped over the confident line and went over to ****y.
They had no business being in that game , the talent gap was huge. They literally beat us running qb draws out of five wr set all game and running clarretf for 3 ypc.
The pi call was awful , but JJ always said “ never leave it up to the officials”.

Kept staying in his beloved two deep even though every in the country knew Krenzels garbage *** was running from five wr set.offense scored 24 points
that ohio state team with krenzel had NO business putting 31 on that defense
randy shannon lost that game
