Along with watching college football on Saturdays and being a die hard Miami Dolphins fan, I watch football on NFL Sundays as well as I am sure many of you do too. While the Dolphins were downright horrible over the years, there was one thing that was so much fun and exciting for Canes fans during those years. For 149 straight weeks, a former Miami Hurricane scored a TD in an NFL game. Most weeks, it was extended within the first half of kickoff. A few weeks it came down to the wire. Clinton Portis lead the Canes with the most(70), followed by Wayne(68), McGahee(63), Moss(53) and Johnson(52). Ed Reed's 107 yrd TD return was the only Canes score in week 100 of the streak. There were only 12 weeks where at least 2 former Canes did not score. 2 different times, the Canes reached MNF in the 4th Q to extend the streak. Finally, the streak ended when Kellen Winslow Jr had a TD nullified and unfortunately other top scoring Canes that weekend were either out due to injury or on a bye. Either way, that was fun to follow.
