Restrepo [is not hurt]

That catch on the sidelines was also dope.

This kid reminds me so much of Berrios. Sure handed. Tough as nails. Reliable. Berrios' early teams also struggled too but he got redemption on that 2017 squad. Let's hope X and the team share equal success this year and next.

They just have the same vibe. X is Braxton's young son.

Rather have X than George back there.
But I agree, we need to get more speed. Someone that can take it the house.
What about 0 back there? Me personally would always have 7 back there. Catch the ball first is all I care about

Restrepo trains like nothing I’ve ever seen before to the point of vomiting and total collapse then he takes a breather and repeats. I can only imagine his skull drills in film room and preparing playbook study each game.

Restrepo wins before he plays , he knows who ever attempts to cover him whether sgl or dbl coverage is no match.

He came to the U ask a slow receiver who can catch and made himself into an uncover-able ELITE NFL ready receiver.

Yes I said ELITE one of the most dangerous receivers in CFB . I don’t see him dancing jumping up and down very much just flip the ball to the refs and get back in the huddle.

He just maybe the MVP of this team

i think the connection him and TVD have has gone immensely under appreciated to your average fan because our teams haven’t been that great so it’s easier to overlook. But those two will be severely missed once they leave. I’d put that pairing up there with anybody in CFB. Luckily, we’re restocking with great talent but X is a different type of player that you don’t find often at this level. The way they play is much more NFL than it is college. It’s not just TVD throwing up some bomb to a guy with 4.3 speed. It’s very cerebral. Understanding coverages and soft spots and knowing where to be and where to put the football. Always having a sense of where to go when things break down. Really is a thing of beauty and we need to cherish it while we have it

Belichek would probably take X #1 overall if they’d let him lol

🎯 spot on brother

Like in film studying together running tape of a play and asking X or TVD what is your read and your pattern adjustments and I’ll tell you my read .
Over and over repeating and taking it to the practice field.

Repeating this for hours on end let alone how your DB covering inside outside floating zone coverages camouflage.

Lowkey.. But you heard it here

If you switch it to “All Conferences” he’s at 26 with Young and George also within the top 100. I know it’s early but still crazy coming off of last season

As a Phins fan I can’t help but chuckle that the Jets let’s Berrios go, and he landed on a team that has Waddle and Hill. That should provide him with ample opportunities.

I don’t care if he never gains an inch returning a punt but NO ONE needs to be fielding punts but him…he’s like Berrios….sure handed and catching the punt is exercise number one.

After George muffed that punt I don’t see how any poster wouldn’t want X on special teams no matter what. Those muffs are game changing plays.

X is a man and will be a nationally known name soon.
This. People clamoring for certain more electric players need to remember that kind of back breaking STs play js what can cost you games…

We can’t always dig ourselves a hole every week like that… job one is securing the punt and then make a play.

They need to create a slot receiver trophy (minature slot machine)
....honoring the incredible middle of the field receivers that have gone through our program.. Santana, Thrill Hill, Berrios and now X....

A high number of punts now are fair catches or angled out of bounds. I no longer care about explosive plays at PR because you don’t have many opportunities. I just want you to catch the **** ball and make smart decisions.

What’s funny last week I said ”I wanted nobody but X returning punts this week “ and a poster responded to the comment about wanting more explosive returners instead , boy did that age well lol.

He had me hot after that 3rd down drop but he more than redeemed himself and is a tough SOB.

I still dont want him returning kicks though.

I agree.

I like how hard he plays. I think that causes us as fans to overrate him at times. But extremely happy when he exceeds my expectations and hope he continues to do just that.

Was

really hoping that one of the freshmen speedsters in Ray Ray or Washington took hold of the PR duties. Both have great speed and elusiveness.

Agreed. And if we are going to continue to field punts inside the 10, then at least let it be a speed demon…
