Restrepo is not hurt any worse

Losing Restrepo amounted to losing the game. He also has Berrios's sure handedness in the punt game which would have been an additional difference maker.
Horribly missed on Saturday night. Tough luck for us.
After watching us with, and now without, Restrepo... He should get the Team MVP Award.... and
Heisman Go Pokes GIF by Oklahoma State University

Are team ain't based on one player. They should have been prepared for this. It's called ADJUSTMENT. Are team is not onè player.

Bama wins a championship last year if their top 2 WRs ain't hurt. Why is it ok for us to pretend we should instantly replace our best WR, when we've struggled for years to field more than 2 quality WR's?

I don't understand how the University of Miami doesn't have a good WR group? That and DB's. There is whole lot of talent at those two positions in South Florida. I can understand O and D lines having some issues there. Because there are only a few truly talented players in those positions and every school is going after them. But Wide Receiver? We should not have one guy who can catch the ball.

I guess that was the case then we wouldn't be Miami.

But someone said losing him was a blessing in disguise...

That was Baghdad Bob😡

Not necessarily. You could envision a scenario where yeah, he fields a punt better and that disaster doesn't happen....but TVD tries to force the ball into a blanketed Restrepo and ends up throwing a couple picks like he did against USM.

Remember when we lost Richards, Walton, and Herndon back in 2017. It was like we fell off a cliff.
We lost Walton early in the season and kept winning. We lost Herndon in the middle of the Pitt game we were already losing. We lost Richards in the week of practice leading up to ACCCG. Clemson was going to ****kick us regardless. Maybe we beat Wisky if we have Herndon and Richards.

So you're not at a disadvantage when you lose your top players?

True but it makes things like redzone that much more difficult when your best WR and best RB are injured.

A&M was down like 4 or 5 guys in the secondary. I'm not using Restrepo as an excuse to why we lost. It's football, there will be injuries. As a whole, we are a very healthy team right now.

This.

Yea, losing X hurt a lot. We all know the chemistry he has with TVD, and he’s a very good, reliable player.

But A&M had true freshmen in the secondary playing every snap of the game. The fact that we couldn’t beat them athletically or even confuse them mentally when they were absolutely gassed in the 4th quarter is very concerning for the rest of the season. X isn’t coming back anytime soon. We’re gonna need to score 30+ against UNC to beat them in 3 weeks. Maye is legit, and he’s going to put up points. I know UNC is nowhere near A&M defensively, but the offense I watched Saturday night would have trouble scoring on air.
