Restrepo being the glue

This class can be to us what the ‘10 fsu class (Joyner, Christian Jones, Kenny Shaw, Telvin Smith, Chad Abram, Terrence Brooks, Werner, Cameron Irvin) and ‘13 Clemson class (Tankersly, Gallman, Mackensie Alexander, Boulware, Kearse, Mike Williams, Adrian Baker, Leggett) were to them. The foundation of a championship team.

I want to throw up. How about the '99 Canes...

Was chatting with my buddy about Restrepo this morning and he said with a straight face "Restrepo is the kinda friend you can tell your girl really wants to f*ck and you're not at all concerned because A) he would never do that to you and B) even if he did, you wouldn't be mad because you probably owe him one."

Lmao, that’s too good.

Generational talents at QB also are very important

I love 2 things about this story.
1. A leader like Restrepo reaching out to people daily
2. People willing to listen to a leader.
You can’t lead unless others are willing to follow. If the class of ‘20 is legit then it will have leaders and those willing to be lead.

Some other great info from that interview:

Since signing with the Hurricanes last December, he’s seen Miami’s offense change dramatically, with offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee, receivers coach Rob Likens and quarterback D’Eriq King join the program.

Each, Restrepo said, has already had an impact, even though their work this spring was disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Coach Lashlee, there’s a reason he averaged 50-something points a game last year. His scheme is ridiculous. He’s a down-to-earth-coach, a player’s coach and he’ll do anything just to see us succeed,” Restrepo said. “You know you’re going to get in the end zone with that offense, no matter if you’re first string, second string, third string or fourth string. You’re getting in the end zone and that’s a great feeling. And Coach Likens is meticulous. I can see why he’s known for putting guys into the NFL. He really knows the craft and he takes his job seriously. He takes everything to heart and is really passionate about this game.”

He is the leader of that class, don’t be mistaken and think it’s anyone else.
That's why Diaz was on him. Big-time leader and obviously well-respected by peers. So many leaders, champions and class acts in 2020 class. 2021 will have much of the same, but higher ceilings talent-wise. That is if we land the likes of Taylor, Garcia, James Williams, etc.

Good to be us...for real.

They'll always be my Favorite Group of Canes...95-2000...just the Adversity they faced, and Conquered....These are the UM Kids who basically told the NCAA to go F themselves.....and culminating in the 2001 Team as an extra Go F yourself....What a perfect story if ever there was one.....
Im in complete agreement. Some people call me crazy but I had just as much fun at the micron pc bowl, Carquest Bowl, and gator bowl as any other after.

I think Brantley will be to the class of ‘21 what Restrepo is to the class of “20; a good but not highest rated player who has the respect of future teammates, brings the team together and will demand effort. Like a good corporation, a team needs someone like this is every class, and a good CEO/coach is able to identify who this person is.
