Rest of offensive staff besides Applewhite being OC/QB coach

You guys missed the press conference announcing the offensive staff? It was crazy! Here is who they announced:

OC/QB - Applewhite
WR - Andre Johnson
RB - Clinton Portis
TE - Jeremy Shockey
OL - Bryant McKinnie

I thought Dorsey was the OC/QB...wth was I thinkin...
 
Jon Right is our new OC/co-AD with Blake James. He will also coach the club soccer team.

Getting an elite OL coach will be the most important hire.

I love the Applewhite hire. Dude was the youngest OC in football at one point, which tells me he’s smart. Like mad genius smart.

Schemes won’t be the problem for us anymore.

The only knock on Applewhite is that he has a history of making questionable hires....so who he brings in to coach the offensive line is really going to be the key to making this whole thing work.
 
I’d like to poach a couple dudes from UCF if we can. Elarbee is a good OL coach, Lebby for RB, and a rumor out there about Darrell Wyatt at WR. 1 or 2 of those guys. Wyatt has worked with Applewhite, Lebby is a Briles disciple and Elarbee is from the Heupel tree that stems from Stoops and Riley. Would bring a taste of all the elite offenses to Miami instead of hanging on 1 style. That was the last staff’s downfall... Richt’s dated offense and every member of the staff only knew that 1 offense from coaching under Richt, playing under Richt, etc
